My name is Alison. I was born in Jacksonville, Florida in October 10, 1959. I went to Florida School For the Deaf in St. Augustine when I was five year old. I graduated there in May 1979. I moved to Clearwater because I went to St. Petersburg Junior College. I graduated in Associate of Arts in 1982 and Associate of Science in Computer Science in 1983. In 1980, I was in Miss Clearwater Pageant. I was the first hearing impaired to be participate the pageant. I won Miss Congeniality and first runner up. I am currently working at Veteran Hospital in Florida as computer specialist. I have been working for the VA for 21 years. I have been divorced for eight years. I have three hearing children. Julie is 21 year old, Craig is 18 year old and Kyle is 12 year old. My daughter Julie got married on March 21, 2003. It was very small wedding with family only. Julie and Eric moved to Fort Drum, New York on August 2004. Julie and Eric became new parents of Dylan James on Dec. 5, 2005. I am so happy to have a grandson. He is beautiful. Eric is in Afghanistan since Feb. 3, 2006 to fight for our country. Craig is senior this year and will graduate in May 21, 2006. |
