Las Vegas 2003
On July 5, 2003,
we flew to Las Vegas to visit my sister and her children for two weeks. The first row, we went to Hoover Dam. The second row, we all went to Zion Park in Utah. It was three hours drive from Las Vegas. We hiked on the river with our tennis shoes. It was quite adventure for us. It was so beautiful. The hike trail was called "Narrows". The last row, My children and I drove to Arizona. It was five hours drive. We drove on RT 66 and stopped at Grand Canyon Caverns. Then we went to Meteor Crater and Wupatki park and Sunset Crater Volcano. We stopped to spend the hotel at Flagstaff, AZ for the night. Next page, we woke up in early morning and drove one and half hours to Grand Canyon. We started our hike at 10:30 a.m. and brought lot of water, salty snacks, sandwiches. We hiked 7 miles down to Indian Gardens. The boys were tired and did not want to go one more mile to see the Colorado river so I stayed with them at Indian Gardens. Julie and Eric went out to see the Colorado River. We walked back up and was very tired because it was tough to go back up. We took lot of breaks and enjoyed the view and meet people. We finally arrived on the top at 8:15 p.m. We drove 60 miles to get a room and were worn out. Rest of the pictures, we went to Las Vegas Strip and enjoyed our day. We had a wonderful time and quite adventure for us at Zion and Grand Canyon. I am sure my children will always have good memories. :-)
