Define

Greed:  excessive or reprehensible aquisitiveness

Ambition:  an ardent desire for rank, fame, or power
                desire to achieve a particular end

Ambition applies to the desire for personal advancment or promotion and may suggest
equally a praiseworthy or an inordinate desire.(see Greed)

Greed however refers to th excessive attempt to gain, in this case, power.  Once the
person crosses the acceptable boundaries set by society to achieve power for themselves makes them greedy.
