Myst Isle Works
Birth:Created on July 24, 2004, as Sweetie Pie. It was a mistake of stumbling on a graphic website, known as
Starrlight.Net (who is going on a recession, currently) and finding out that there was a computer in my house. I admired Ilyena and decided to put my own creative talents online. Ever since, Sweetie Pie has transformed greatly.
The first year was spent on experimenting and memorizing HTML. I looked around the only database that I knew was big enough to hold me: Neopets.Com. Sad? Yes, but at least I don't do now. I found these two sites that I also placed high on my list of favorites:
Mimisk8.com and Fireflygraphx.Com (currently expired). Today, I feel that Sweetie Pie has exceeded both today. Fireflygraphx which expired, is no longer in the world. And Mimisk8 looks the same it has two years ago and its design is horrifying.
Myst Isle: I changed the name to Myst Isle Works, I don't know when, but to geocities.com/myst_isle4, instead of geocities.com/flashwise. A new name deserved a new home, right? So I moved it, as well as to get away from the nursery it grew up in.
Graphics: Early on, I realized that no one would come to my website, if nothing was in it for them, so I put up a "You" section, mostly graphics. That was the start of the graphical site it is today. I found Adobe Photoshop and we paired off, experimenting (
"I feel like a newbie all over again" --M.R.).
Future: My dad finally promised me a domain. Then he left for Korea. It'll only be a week, but it still is frusterating! ^_________^ I've been thinking about good ideas and I'm considering picco-picco.net, like it?
