After work, school, and daycare, Dan did a quick cut of the grass in the backyard and then met Amy, the kids, and her parents for their fairwell dinner at Sonny's BBQ.  Dan also added another new and very long-awaited Story About Rich.

November 2, 2004
After avoiding early voting with way too many people and long lines, both Dan and Amy voted later in the evening...Dan with Ian and Jordan and Amy after Coral's practice was cancelled.  Now that the Remberts have DIRECTV with all the fixin's (movie channels), Amy will be doing more highly anticipated movie reviews.  Tonight Dan and Amy watched "Kill Bill: Volume 1".  Amy found it way to bloody and violent...she gives it 3 1/2 "long winks".  Dan is not really a huge fan of the 70s martial arts genre that this movie so closely copied, but does like Tarantino films and found humor in the over-the-top, almost cartoon-like blood squirting sequences.

November 3, 2004
Jordan had a quick practice because of the lack of sunlight, but that be it for today.

November 4, 2004
Dan added a new Story about Rich today, but not much else to report.

November 5, 2004
Coral's Brownie Troop had some funds left, so they went to the Christmas Show at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for the horse and no-utensil dinner show.  The kids (and moms) had a blast and used up all the money.  Dan, Ian, and Jordan went to gymnastics.

November 6, 2004
The crisp morning was nice for Coral's game and she did great as usual.  We're not sure if it was the cooler weather or something she ate, but Jordan's soccer game was awesome!  She actually scored (in her own goal) a hat-trick!  Yes, she kicked in 3 goals and almost a 4th.  She was on fire.  Dan even threw his hat on the field and Jordan thought that was the funniest thing she had ever seen.  After the game, Dan searched all over for an audio/video storage shelf, finally found the right one, and put it together while Amy and the kids enjoyed the perfect weather outside.  After dinner and tubby-time, we all took advantage of having HBO and watched "Cheaper by the Dozen".  It is was good family movie...
Amy gives it 2 1/2 "long winks".

November 7, 2004
For the second week in a row, the Steelers had a huge game against an undefeated team (the Eagles this time) and demolished the competition.  They won 27-3 and became the first team in the history of the NFL to beat 2 undefeated teams over 6-0 in back-to-back weeks.  Tuffer and John (a Philly fan) came over to watch the game while Amy and the kids went to the Shaffers to join Krista, Erin, and Jessie for some peace and playtime.

November 8, 2004
Back to work, school, and daycare after a busy weekend with gorgeous weather!  Later, Sarah, our next door neighbor and soon to be baby-sitter, came over to talk business and meet the kids.

November 9, 2004
The perfect weather came to an end today and so did the soccer practices.  With the time change and less daylight in the evening, we have only one game left in the season.  This means two things...more time for ourselves and less time out of the garage for the Jeep.

November 10, 2004
After work, school and daycare, Dan went to and lost another poker tournament...
at least he is having fun, right?!?!?!

November 11, 2004
Happy Vets Day!!!
Jordan and Ian did their usual thing while Coral joined Dan and Amy for their day-off activities.  First, we got to visit Shannah's new house and got the 5-cent tour.  Then, Shannah joined us for breakfast at Grills...mmmmm!  Then, we spent some time at the beach before the grand finale...movie time!  We saw "The Incredibles", which was awesome!  Dan and Coral loved it and Amy gives it Zero "long winks", which tells you that she felt the same.

November 12, 2004
This was the first week with the new gymnastic's schedule because Coral got moved to a more advanced class, but at a later time.  Now we go from 5 to 6 (Jordan) and 6 to 7 (Coral) with dinner
and transfers in between.

November 13, 2004
Jordan had her last game of the season this morning and the girl scored another goal...boy, she really came on at the end of the season!  After that, the team had a small presentation of trophies and treats for the kids.  Then Dan and Amy went their seperate ways to shop...Dan to BJs and Amy and the kids to Target.  We all came home to the meet the DIRECTV installer for the second round.  Remember 2-weeks ago there was a mention of "a few mix-ups", well this visit was to fix the mix-ups and he did.  Now we got a DVR with TiVo in the TV room and a receiver in the living room.  Coral had a great afternoon...she is now a proud bike-rider!  She has conquered the act of riding her bike without her training-wheels...woo hoo!  Speaking ealier of mix-ups, Dan and Amy had arranged to have a baby-sitter for the evening, but that fell through, so Dan was forced to attend Chuck's surprise 40th birthday party by himself.  Chuck was definately surprised and the roast went great.  Dan even said a few things about the band, but the highlights were his brothers who were the only ones who truly roasted him.

November 14, 2004
Dan, Jordan, and Coral went to church and while CCD was going on, Amy went shopping.  The rest of the day was spent watching the Steelers win and playing with the new TiVo toy.  Man is that thing awesome...rewinding and pausing live TV is good to have with kids around.

November 15, 2004
The start of a full week sandwiched between 2 short weeks...short and bitter-sweet.

November 16, 2004
We took the caravan in for it's minor maintenance and then Dan and Amy rode in together.  Later, to celebrate the new oile, brake light, and recalled break-line hose and to remind ourselves that there was no soccer, we all went to Sonny's for dinner.

November 17, 2004
Coral got an impression made for her helpful hardware on her teeth.  This will be installed sometime soon and get her teeth all straight so she hopefully doesn't have to wear braces.

November 18, 2004
Coral woke up with a little head-cold and a fever, so Amy stayed with her in the morning and Dan in the afternoon.  Later Coral felt better after resting all day, so Dan took her to her second prep class for her first holy communion/confession.

November 19, 2004
Not much to report, just your typically Friday gymnastics fun.

November 20, 2004
Today was Dan's turn to get some Christmas shopping done and he did...woo hoo!  Later, we went out to the beach to shoot the Christmas Picture 2004...it will be out soon!  After we all got back, Dan was off to his biweekly poker game, which he faired well today.

November 21, 2004
Now it was Amy's turn to do her Christmas shopping and since this was an all-day event with Krista the only Sunday event was Coral attending CCD.  The Steelers squeeked another win from the Bengals and now are off to their best record since 1978 at 9-1.

November 22, 2004
We started off the day together, but because Ian was sick with a fever and what seemed to be the same head-cold that Coral had a week ago, Dan took part of the day to get Ian and Jordan.  Later, he went back to pick up Coral and Amy who was dropped off by Shannah at GEMS.

November 23, 2004
Because of the fever, Ian couldn't go back to school, so the guys stayed home and played all day while the girls were the bread-winners.  Later, Coral had her Thanksgiving feast at school, so Dan, Ian and Amy all met and ate.  After work, Amy got Jordan and they did the Turkey-day shopping where they got the turkey and all the fixin's...mmmmm!

November 24, 2004
Last day of work, school and daycare for a little while...woo hoo!  After that nonsense was done, we went to Wal-Mart to have our Christmas cards "developed".  With the new technology of digital cameras, we had this task completed in less than an hour...just enough time for the kids to eat at the McDonalds in the store and Dan and Amy to call Carrabba's to pick up on the way home.  Anywho, the pictures look great and should be out soon!

November 25, 2004
Happy Turkey-day!!!
We stayed at home and enjoyed the beautiful day with all the windows open, but don't worry, it didn't let out the aroma of homemade-from-scratch apple & pumpkin pie and basted turkey.

November 26, 2004
As always, while the world is out fighting over the latest toys and the 40%-off racks, we stayed home and decorated the house for Christmas...a true Rembert-family tradition!

November 27, 2004
Decoration Day, Part II: The Illumination of Bolton Lane!  Yes, today we did the outside lights and relived the fun by watching "Christmas Vacation".  The part of the movie where the power plant switches to the nuclear auxiliary power rang true in Rockledge on this day.

November 28, 2004
Coral and Amy went to Beef O'Brady's to celebrate Coral's soccer team.  They had lunch, cake, and handed out trophies to the kids.  Coral got a special one for "Best Defensive Player of the Year"...woo hoo!  After that, they did some more Christmas shopping.  Dan stayed home to watch the kids, but more importantly to watch the Steelers win their 9th in a row and go 10-1.

November 29, 2004
Back to the grind after a 4 day weekend.  The Caravan turned 36,000 miles today...you know that is trouble, all the 3-year warrenty stuff will go now almost exactly 1-year early.

November 30, 2004
Last day of November and time to get the Christmas spirit in full-force!  To celebrate, Coral had a fever at school and had to go to the nurse's office until Dan could pick her up.  Later, Dan and Amy were busy cleaning and getting ready for our first guests in 13 1/2 months!
