| Here is what is going on with the Florida Remberts |
| November 1, 2003 Amy and Jordan took Coral to gymnastics then went to BJs to do some shopping. Later, Coral and Amy sold calenders for Brownies outside the local Publix. After the kids were in bed, Dan and Amy got some food from Carrabba's and had a little date while we watched a movie. November 2, 2003 Today, it was Dan's turn to hang out with Coral...first, we went to Church followed by CCD/Publix. Later while Jordan and Ian took a nap and Amy was doing homework, Dan and Coral took a trip to the beach with the top of the Jeep down. We made sandcastles and buried our feet (don't worry, we found them). It was better than watching the Steelers lose again. November 3, 2003 Just your normal, run-of-the-mill Monday. November 4, 2003 After work, school and daycare, Amy had class...nothing exciting today. November 5, 2003 Jordan had a field trip to a local Publix...she seemed to think the bus ride there was more interesting...oh well. After we all got home with pizza, we all watched "Finding Nemo". It was a great movie and everyone at the Rembert house loved it...the geniuses at Pixar strike again! Amy gives it Zero "long winks"...there were times she was yelling at the computer-animated fish! November 6, 2003 The kids watched "Finding Nemo" again and the adults watched Friends, CSI and Survivor again. November 7, 2003 After a long week of work, school, and daycare, it's nice to have Fridays. We sent in papers to refinance our mortgage...in the last 2-months, we have sold our Pittsburgh house, refinanced our two cars to lower rates, and now we are doing our Florida house, all steps to finacial freedom. Later, Dan and Amy watched "Identity", which was pretty good with a twist (not of lime)...Amy gives it 2 "long winks"...Dan liked it too and guessed the twist (not of lemon). November 8, 2003 Dan and Ian stayed home and did laundry, while Jordan and Amy took Coral to gymnastics and then some Publix shopping. Later during nap-time, Amy and Coral did some dress shopping for Marie and Dwain's wedding in only 30-weeks. Dan cooked some spaghetti for dinner and Shannah came over for a quick visit during a showing of "Finding Nemo". November 9, 2003 It was sort of a rainy weekend and especially today, so we didn't get to go to the State Fair like we had planned. Coral and Amy went to Church/CCD and Dan listened to the Steelers win their first game in 5-weeks through the internet, but didn't feel like going to the bar. Because not much was going on outside the house, we did a little cleaning inside the house. November 10, 2003 This is my kind of work week...due to the holiday tomorrow, today was the start and finish of this week...the Monday and the Friday...the Alpha and the Omega. November 11, 2003 Have a good Veterans Day! (I guess it can't really be happy) It was a very busy day! First we dropped Ian off at daycare, then we dropped the Caravan off to get the ABS looked at (the service light was coming on), then Dan, Amy, and Coral joined Jordan on her field trip to Triple "R" Ranch to see all the farm animals and that was just the morning. The afternoon was spent going to the mall and to see Jordan's first ever and Dan's first since we moved to Florida movie at the movie theater. We went to see "Brother Bear", which is a typical Disney movie...good family fun. The place was pretty packed due to the day off from work and school for a lot of people, but we had a good time. Amy gives it 2 1/2 "long winks". After dinner and tubbies, it was bed time for the kids and movie time for the adults again. We rented "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", which Amy gives 3 1/2 "long winks". Dan agrees with Amy...it was not nearly as good as the first 2 and was more corny than scary (which you should probably fear terminators and the end of the world)...the only saving grace was the humor and the references to the first 2 movies through out the film. November 12, 2003 An unexpected "bathroom problem" with Coral came on this morning, so Amy stayed home with her in the morning and Dan stayed home in the afternoon. Dan also got a chance to cut the grass for probably the last time in the front...the back is next and that should be it for the year. November 13, 2003 Not much going on today, but Dan finally downloaded some new pictures in the Family Album...make sure to go check out Volumes 6 and 7! November 14, 2003 The weather is turning out to be the big news...it is finally time to turn off the air conditioning and open the windows to get some fresh air in the house...woo hoo! November 15, 2003 Amy and Jordan took Coral to gymnastics and then went food shopping. Ian wasn't feeling too good today so, instead of going out and enjoying the perfect weather, we stayed home an enjoyed some fun outside activities like cutting the grass for the last time (hopefully) until next year. November 16, 2003 The annual pilgrimige to Orlando for Amy and Krista to do some shopping and talking with Santa took place today. So Dan, Jordan, and Ian just dropped Coral off and picked her up at CCD (Dan wasn't going to take them all to Church by himself...I think God understands). We got some big NEWS from Pittsburgh today, while Amy was out all day. November 17, 2003 Only 30 more shopping days left until Dan's Birthday... After it was back to work, school and daycare, we got home ate and got the kids ready for bedtime and the adults ready for some football. Unfortunately, the Steelers were not ready and lost an important game that may knock them out of the playoff picture. November 18, 2003 Dan went in early to prepare a the busy day. Dan stopped by to get the house survey, then picked-up the kids, then drove-thru the fast-food establishments, and came home to eat all while Amy went to school and got another 100%. Later after bath-time, we had our closing for the refinance of our mortgage. By bed-time, we were exhausted. November 19, 2003 Not much going on, but the weather is a big change...the front went through today and we had a bit of a chill in the evening air (not by Pittsburgh standards, but a chill none the less). November 20, 2003 To celebrate Thanksgiving a week or so early, Dan and Amy went to Gardendale to have lunch with Coral along with most of the other parent(s). The food was good and the company was great. We all had a good time...although Dan thought there was a pie-eating contest, which he would have won had there been...mmmm, blueberry pie. November 21, 2003 Amy and Dan had another Thanksgiving celebration, but this time it was with Jordan. The pre-school kids dressed up like Pilgrams and Indians (American) and Jordan was a 3-feather redskin. They did a cute little song and then we all ate lunch. Later while Dan got the kids and took care of them, Amy went out with the RehabWorks staff to a grateful patient's house for dinner. November 22, 2003 Dan and Amy switched roles for the morning...Dan took Jordan and Coral to gymnastics, while Amy did laundry and hung out with Ian. After we got back, we all went outside to enjoy the nice weather. We even made some orange juice from the oranges we picked. While Dan was doing the bills, we got a quick visit from Kristie and Trenton (he is about 4 months younger than Ian). Later, Dan and Amy watched "Anger Management". Dan is somewhat of an Adam Sandler fan, but it seems that all his movies are alike. This is the case here...Amy gives it 3 "long winks". November 23, 2003 Amy and Coral were off doing the Church and CCD/Publix thing, while Dan was finishing off the laundry. After lunch, Amy and the kids enjoyed the weather, which has been perfect lately, while Dan enjoyed listening to the Steeler game, which finally was a win. November 24, 2003 Another short week for us...the best kind of work week. November 25, 2003 It's the last day of work for Dan and the last day of school for Coral and the second to last day of school for Amy...woo hoo, the madness is almost over! November 26, 2003 While Amy, Jordan, and Ian were doing their normal daily routine, Dan and Coral had the day off to get out and do a few things. First we got up late and met a few people from work for lunch. After that, we did some banking and some window shopping at the mall and at Cocoa Village. Lastly it was time for Brownies for Coral, so Dan drove around Merritt Island with the top down on the Jeep listening to Christmas music...it was quite a sight. November 27, 2003 Happy Turkey Day!!! We had a lovely day! First we had a big breakfast and then watched the parade. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and playing and getting food prepared. Dan was in charge of the turkey and the apple pie and Amy had the rest of the fixings. November 28, 2003 While the rest of the world shops, it is a Rembert Family tradition to put up the indoor Christmas decorations today, the day after Thanksgiving, so we did just that. We also got the oil changed in the Jeep...that was just enough time outside of the house. November 29, 2003 Now it was time to get outside and do the lights on the house...mother nature and the cold front made us feel right at home with the temperatures dipping down into the high 50s/low 60s for afternoon highs. The people up north reading this are probably used to these temps, but we aren't so bare with us while we show our thin blood and complain a little. Later, we all attended a little birthday party for Jim (of Jim and Carol fame...our babysitters). November 30, 2003 Another lazy day to end our mini-vacation. Most of the day was spent inside, but Amy and Coral did do some food shopping for the week and the kids went out to swing for a little, while Dan listened to the Steeler season go down the drain. |
