| November 1, 2002 Some guests arrived early in the middle of the night at the Bolton Bed and Breakfast...Lori and her sister-in-law, Debbie. So after we all got home, they made dinner for us and then we all did some catching up. It seems that the visitors from Pittsburgh brought some of that fall weather with them as the sky was cloudy and the temps fell into the low 70s. November 2, 2002 Coral, Jordan and Amy did their gymnastics trip, while Dan took Ian to the doctor's to find out he has an infection on his upper lip...it looks like he has a little mustache. A little cream and medicine should clear it up soon. The guests did some sun bathing as the weather vastly improved overnight. Once Amy, Jordan and Coral got back, Dan went to work on the door to the garage (not to be confused with the garage door), which Amy broke with her brute strength earlier in the week. Later, we all had the traditional feast of pizza from Papa John's and then the visiting chicks went out on the town. November 3, 2002 Dan and Coral went to church with the drop-off of Coral to learn all about the "true-faith". Once the weekly CCD ritual was over, Amy took Coral to a birthday party at a horse-farm. Coral insists this is where she wants to have her next party...we said, first you have ride a horse before you can have a party that includes horses. After Lori and Debbie got back from a day at the beach, Dan and Amy got to have a much-needed date...first, we went to Carrabba's to use a gift certificate, and then it was out to the Pier for a nice, cool evening walk and dessert. Thanks to the guests for babysitting and giving Dan and Amy some "alone-time" and thanks to Marie and Dwain for last year's Christmas gift. November 4, 2002 While the Florida Remberts were at work, school and daycare, Lor and Deb hit Universal Studios. After they got home, we said our good-byes because mornings at the Bolton Bed and Breakfast are pretty crazy. Novemeber 5, 2002 After work, school and daycare, Dan picked-up the kids and returned to the normality of the house, while Amy went out with Mary and some friends to Carrabba's for dinner. Novemeber 6, 2002 Coral had Daisy's today after school, so Dan left work to get her and take her and then came home and cut the grass. After Amy was done with work, she picked-up Coral and then got the rest of the kids at daycare. The weather is getting cooler, so fall has returned again. November 7, 2002 Well the news on Ian's infection got worse today, he now has another infection on top of the first one...poor kid, but he is taking it in stride. It doesn't really seem to bother him other than when we put on his medicine. It does look terrible, so no Christmas pictures for a while. Jordan and Coral are fine, other than Jordan having a bit of diaper rash. Amy and Dan are just trying to keep everyone healthy, which is a job in itself. November 8, 2002 After work, daycare and school, we got ready for the extended weekend by relaxing. November 9, 2002 The day started with Jordan joining Amy and Coral at gymnastics, then Dan and Ian met them for the marathon car shopping spree. We have been putting off getting a more roomy, but less cool automobile ever since Ian came in March...well, we finally threw in the towel...we are now part of the club of "geeks with minivans"! We traded in the Jeep Grand Cherokee and got a new 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. The negotiations took about 4 or 5 hours, but we got a great deal! Amy and Coral are very happy to have more room to move, Jordan and Ian are noticing the new location of car seats, and Dan is still in shock. November 10, 2002 Coral and Amy went to church and CCD/weekly shopping and then we all had lunch. Dan then went to watch the game of the week...Steelers vs. Falcons. This was nothing like "kissing your sister" (the phrase used to describe the feeling you get from a tie, not actually kissing insert your name here's sister)...yes, it was a tie and the Steelers blew-it, but as a football fan, but it was a great game. After that marathon game, we all got in the minivan and went to Orlando to put the first "big miles" on the new car and to meet-up with Dan's cousin, Jen and her family. The kids got to meet their cousins and Dan and Amy got to catch-up with Jen and Eric...it was nice and the kids were great, so we stayed until 11 PM. November 11, 2002 Happy Vets Day!!! To try to get all the use out of the new car in one weekend, we went on another trip...this time it was to New Smyrna Beach because Cocoa Beach is having "Red Tide". This is a virus in the ocean that causes flu-like symptoms. The beach nice up that way...it has white sand and a gentle slope, the kids were good, and so we all had a beautiful day "at the beach". November 12, 2002 Today was Coral's field trip to the State Fair! Amy volunteered to help drive and chaperon. Because the fair was not open to the public, not all the rides or animals were available, so the kids got a little bored riding and petting the same things over and over...the day ended earlier than expected. So, Amy used the spare time between dropping Coral off and her dentist appointment to do some Christmas shopping. After Dan got home with the kids, we had a quick meal and then a visit from Jen and her family so they could see the house. November 13, 2002 Not much going on today, but an update on Ian's infections...he is looking much better and is using up all the medicine, so he should be back to normal soon. November 14, 2002 Just a normal day of work, school and daycare and then our Thursday shows.. Make sure to check out our newest option here at the site...send a virtual postcard. November 15, 2002 After work, school and daycare, we had a little "movie party"...we watched the live-action "Scooby-Doo" and had pizza and popcorn. November 16, 2002 We spent most of this cool, rainy day inside watching TV and playing games. Coral, Amy and Jordan did make it out to go to gymnastics. But the big NEWS of the day was the discovery of Ian's first tooth! He got his first before both Coral and Jordan...woo hoo! November 17, 2002 Dan and Coral did their Sunday ritual...church, CCD, and Malibu's for the Steeler game. When Amy left to do some shopping and pick-up Coral, she came home with extra child...not sure how that happened, but Coral was glad to have a friend to play with all day. The Steelers reverted back to the losing ways, let's hope that it is temporary and so is Tommy Maddox's injury. November 18, 2002 Winter has arrived in Florida! We put the heat on because the temps are falling into the 40s and only rising to the 60s...Brrrrrrr! November 19, 2002 Well, it's offical...Dan and Amy bought the plane tickets to go with the hotel reservations for Vegas Baby! Now we have to start convincing our friends to come out to join us. Amy went out with the rest of the Rehab Works staff and a film crew from NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association) for dinner. They were here to conduct interviews and film the interworkings of the machine called Rehab Works all day! Dan and the kids watched "Shrek" for the 100th time. November 20, 2002 Today was Daisy day for Coral, so Dan went to work early and left early. November 21, 2002 Coral had to go to gymnastics so Amy could meet up with Santa on Saturday to tell him what the Florida Remberts want for Christmas. Dan took Coral and Amy got Ian and Jordan. Speaking of Christmas and gifts...click HERE to see the wish list. November 22, 2002 We had another movie night with pizza and popcorn...the feature was a classic, "E.T.". The kids loved it...looks like some things from the 80s can withstand the test of time. After the kids were in bed, Dan and Amy watched "Spider-Man"...well, at least Dan did...Amy acted like she was pregnant and slept through the whole thing so no rating. November 23, 2002 The day started off with breakfast out at T.J.'s for Breakfast...a local resturant that serves just what is implied in the title. Then Amy took off for her shopping spree with Krista, while Dan and the kids spent the day with John and their kids. After running around and wrecking the Shaffer house, Dan and the kids got home just in time to watch the launch of STS-113. Amy got home around 9 pm...that is about 12 hours of shopping...you would think she'd be done by now. November 24, 2002 It was Amy's turn to hang with Coral in church, take her to CCD and do some shopping (minus the actual sitting in the CCD classroom, that was Coral's job). Dan didn't feel like going to the bar for the game so he stayed home with the family and listened to it on the computer. Later, we all took a walk on such a nice evening to get some fresh air. Then it was time to get ready for the beginning of the short week...woo hoo! November 25, 2002 Not much going on with the Florida Remberts, but there was some huge NEWS from Pittsburgh last night...Marie and Dwain are goin' to get hitched! November 26, 2002 Dan and Amy went to Gardendale's Thanksgiving feast for lunch with Coral...they had turkey with all the fixins and everything was very good (especially the pies). Speaking of Coral,she has been taking showers instead of tubbies lately...what a big lady! November 27, 2002 Dan and Coral had the day off today, so they spent the day doing Christmas shopping together and only took breaks to eat breakfast and lunch. After everyone got home, we started our little Thanksgiving vacation together. November 28, 2002 Happy Turkey Day!!! We had a nice day together...playing games, watching TV (including the Macy Day parade and football), and being thankful for another great year together and especially for the addition to our family over the past year! November 29, 2002 Today was the annual Florida Rembert decoration day...we got all the Christmas stuff out and put the "indoor" stuff up, including the tree. After that was done, we had another movie night and to keep with the Christmas theme we watched "Home Alone". November 30, 2002 Now it was time to do the "outdoor" stuff...Dan felt and looked like Clark Griswold. Speaking of him, Dan and Amy watched "Christmas Vacation" later that night. |
