We took our time to get to Jordans soccer game since it was a little later at 11:30it was nice not to rush, but maybe we have gotten too used to that way because Amy forgot the halftime snacks at home in the refrigerator (each week a parent takes a turn to supply the halftime and after-game snacks for the kids and this week was our turn).  By the time she ran home and got back, it was just a little into halftime, so it wasnt too bad, just a bit embarrassing.  Later, Jordan and Ian had a birthday party which was interrupted by a quick rain downpour.  Later, Amy went to Carols house with Shannah for chick-flick movie night.  The ladies had a good time and watched Without a Paddle, which was very funny, 2 long winks, and American Weddingclick here to see her previous rating.

With the Steelers on a bye week, Dan took his turn to get Jordan and Coral to church and CCD and did the weekly food shopping at Publix.  When he got back, we ate a quick lunch, picked up Lauren, and then we all headed to Ron Jons for the afternoon at the country club.  The crowds are getting less, which made the pool area more enjoyable.

October 3, 2005
Well it was back to the grind and back to the rainssomething off the coast of Florida is dumping some serious rain on us and will for the rest of the week.

October 4, 2005
More rain and wind todayfelt like autumn in Pittsburgh (w/o the changing leaves).

October 5, 2005
She finally showed her ugly head today and her name is Tammya tropical storm that has made us wet for most of the week.  Because of her, Corals soccer practice was cancelled this evening.

October 6, 2005
Today it was Jordans practice that got cancelled because of the constant and driving rain.  The good news is we recently received two unconfirmed requested to stay at the Copperfield Cottage!

October 7, 2005
Well, it was a start of a three day weekend to help with the depression brought on by all the constant rain.  We went to gymnastics and all the normal Friday night things.

October 8, 2005
Happy Birthday to Pap (Mean Gene)!!!
We did many little chores around the house today, especially Amy because Jordans soccer game was cancelled due to a damp and unusable field.  Later Dan went to play poker and watch the Penn State/Ohio State big gameat least one of the games ended on a positive.  Penn State should surely move into the top 10 in the rankings after this victory!

October 9, 2005
Happy Birthday to Gramma (Judy)!!!
Dan took another turn with Jordan and Coral and the weekly visit to church/CCD/Publix.  Once again the soggy field proved to be too much for a safe soccer game for Corals team, so Amy took the kids to get their Halloween costumes for this year while Dan watched his fantasy team go down the drain.

October 10, 2005
Happy Columbus Day!!!
The best thing about working at a government facility is the days like this oneafter having breakfast with the Center Director for the second year in a row, Jim Kennedy, Amy and Dan spent the day at the beach and was joined by Shannah.  We dropped the kids off and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surf hitting the sand.  Not to worry, the kids had some great activities to keep them happyin fact, Jordan won a hula-hoop contest and Coral won a bubble-blowing contest.  Later, we took them to dinner at Dogs r- Us for some food and face-painting for the kids.  Even later, Dan and Amy watched the Steelers play on Monday Night and they pulled out a big victory over the Chargers 24-22woo hoo!

October 11, 2005
Back to the grind and back to the rainDan started off the day with a trip to the dermatologist for a check-up and everything looked fine.  Later is when the rains started back, which put our lives back to normal.

October 12, 2005
Dan had a dentist appointment this morning and then went to work while Amy stayed home with Coral who had a fever.

October 13, 2005
Dan took his turn and stayed home with the sick girl, Coral, all day while Jordan and Ian went to school and Amy went to work.

October 14, 2005
We had gymnastics and that means that it is Fridaywoo hoo!  Ian received a little award for his newest class efforthe lead the group of kids in reciting In the Beginning!  Another classroom talent he revealed today was the skill of naming all the planets in order.

October 15, 2005
With the sun finally shining, we got outside and did the yard/house work that was needed after all the rain.  Speaking of rainbecause the fields were soaked, both the soccer games were cancelled.  By mid-afternoon most of the work was completed and it was time to watch the Penn State game.  Before the game was over, Dan and Amy had a dinner date with John and Krista at Outbacklucky for Dan he missed the final 3 minutes of the game because there may have been a heart attack to report as Penn State completely fell apart.

October 16, 2005
Amy took Jordan and Coral to church and then did some volunteer work in Corals CCD class.  Not to be outdone by Penn State, the Steelers had there own meltdown in overtime against the Jags with Big Ben and Hines Ward out of the game.  After the game, Amy and Coral did the food shopping for the week.

October 17, 2005
This was the last day of the break for Jordan and Coral who are both excited about getting back to class.  Zoey got a shot and was examined today at her new Vets office in Merritt Island.  This leaves just one single point of connection left to the Rockledge AreaSt. Marys Church.

October 18, 2005
Jordan and Coral got back to school and brought home their school pictures, which look great!  Now that nicer weather has dominated in our area for a while, we could resume our normal soccer practices...today it was Jordan's team's turn.

October 19, 2005
Late in the afternoon, Ian started feeling not so hot and came down with a fever, so it looks like he will be the next to get on the stay at home train.  Later, Coral had her normal practice time.  But the big news of the day is the emanate danger looming in the West Caribbean near Cancun in the form of a Category 5 HurricaneWilma is coming!

October 20, 2005
Dan and Amy split the day to care for the ailing Ian and did some chores around the house (like finally putting up the Halloween decorations).

October 21, 2005
With Ian back in school, we got back to some normality for a day.  Friday evening gymnastics was merged with Amy doing the grocery shopping for the week due to a very busy weekend that would not allow for a normal trip to Publix.

October 22, 2005
Let the games beginfirst we all went to Corals game in Port St. Johns, then soon after the arrival Dan and Jordan went back to Merritt Island for her team pictures and then to the game immediately following pictures where they were soon joined up with Amy, Coral and Ian again.  The news of the day was that Jordans pictures look like they will be good and Coral scored her first goal of the year (she usually plays defense).  After a quick break at home, we went to Cocoa Beach for the Our Saviors festival and did a quick visit to most of the rides until the money and the tickets ran out.  We then went to the country club (Ron Jons Resort) to hide from the rain at the indoor play room and grab a bite to eat at the grill.  By the time we got back home, everyone was beat and Coral had a fever again.

October 23, 2005
Amy and Jordan went to church and CCD where Amy volunteered in Jordans classroom.  With Coral sick again, she missed out on church, CCD, and her soccer game and pictures, but hopefully because off-and-on rains due to the outer bands of Wilma the game and pictures were rained out.  The rest of the day we watched the Steelers beat the Bengals, kept an eye on Wilma to see where and when she would hit Florida, and cleaned-up the outdoor furniture and all potential flying debris.  By the evening, Jordan joined Coral on the sickness train and our house and garage was filled with foreign belongings from the outdoors as the skies filled with lightning and thunder from Wilma.

October 24, 2005
Hurricane Wilma winds and rains woke us up this morning instead of the alarm clock because schools and work are closed.  Most of the day we sat inside with power all day and satellite on-and-off and watched the trees blow and the pool fill with rain.  Coral was feeling much better early, but Jordan did not get healthy until late in the day.  By evening time, the fast-moving storm was past us and the skies were blue and our house sustained no damagewoo hoo!

October 25, 2005
The kids were ok'ed to come back to school, but KSC was still closed so Dan and Amy used the time to get some work done.  With the emptied patio and leaves everywhere, there was plenty to do.  The big news of the day is the way that Wilma took all the heat and humidity out of Florida and left behind nice, cool weather.  After the kids got back from school, we took advantage of the weather and walked around the neighborhood and played catch (baseball and football).

October 26, 2005
Back to work and back to soccer practice (Coral's team).

October 27, 2005
After work and school, the kids got dressed up in their costumes for the big Pumpkin Patch Party at Gardendale, but don't worry plenty of cotton candy and cupcakes were consumed.  After that, Dan went to a last minute poker night and hopefully started a winning trend.

October 28, 2005
Today was Shannahs last day of work in the Environmental Office with Dan et al, so Dan and Amy attended the lunchtime, and some, celebration at Grills to send her to her new job (still at KSC at the next building over, just in a different group with a different company)Good Luck Shannah, we will miss you!!!  Later, we had are normal Friday festivities with gymnastics, but Dan and Amy were still too full from the late lunch, so we didnt get any carry-out for after the kids went to bed.

October 29, 2005
Jordans game was moved to Gardendale, which is closer, and this was the only game of the day.  Dan kept the kids busy and threw the football around with them while Amy completed some gardening chores.  Later, Amy took the kids out to do some shopping and get some food while Dan continued his positive poker ways.

October 30, 2005
With the clocks moved back it was much easier for the kids to wake up for churchtoo bad the same couldnt be said for Dan and Amy.  It was Dans turn for the weekly trip back to the latest, former homeland, Rockledge, for church, CCD, and Publix.  Later, Amy and the kids picked out some pumpkins and we all carved them up with the best possible scary facesnow we are ready for the trick-or-treaters to arrive.

October 31, 2005
Happy Halloween!!!
After work and school, Dan picked up the kids and grabbed a quick meal so the kids could get to what they really wanted to do that night.  Ian was Batman and Jordan and Coral were both vampires.  Dan stayed home and was in charge of the Meet-n-Greet while Amy took the kids around the new neighborhood.  They came back and dropped Coral off who wanted to help Dan pass out the candy and then did a quick trip for another round of trick-or-treating.  The Steelers capped off the evening festivities with a close win on Monday Night Football against the hated Ravens.
