The Florida Remberts (except for Ian) have been in Florida for 2 years!
Not much going on today...just back to the grind.

July 2, 2002
Just work, summer rec and daycare...then home.  All part of our normal routine.

July 3, 2002
After work, summer rec and daycare, we started our "mini-vacation" out by doing some swimming and eating pizza on the back porch on the first clear evening since mid-June.

Happy Birthday America!!!
First we did some swimming while the weather was cooperating, then once the rains came in the afternoon, we did some "indoor" stuff.  It stopped raining early enough to go to Cocoa Village and join the crowds for the fireworks display and the Fourth of July activities.  The ground was pretty wet, but that didn't keep the people away from see the Brevard Symphony playing Star Wars music and, once the fireworks started, they continued playing patriotic music.  There were even some Star Wars characters walking around meeting the kids.  This was Ian's first chance to hear and see the fireworks...he did good with no tears and even had a special moment with Mom.  Jordan really enjoyed them and continuously said, "Wow...Pritty"!

July 5, 2002
This was a busy morning...first Dan had to make a deposit for the doctor to make sure that he is shooting blanks, then we all went to open a savings account for Ian and do some different kind of deposit, then we went and got some gas, and finally we gave a donation to the Salvation Army.  Dan then dropped everyone off to have lunch and went to the post office because the government feels that they don't have enough of our money yet and then to Lowes to give away even more money for equipment to break Dan's back.  The rest of the day was spent relaxing.

Happy 4 Month Birthday to Ian!!!
Dan spent 7 HOURS working on the yard and pool and breaking his back to get them nice now that we got a routine down.  Amy's job for the day was even harder...take care of the kids.  For the first time since mid-June we had a full day without rain.

July 7, 2002
After church for Amy and Coral, Amy got to do some work...she used the new shop-vac to clean the carpet on the back porch, which was wet from all the rain.  What a weekend...we finally had a full weekend without any rain, but we now have more than a few sore muscles.

July 8, 2002
Well, its official, Dan is "out of service"...he got word today (the sound you hear is a million ladies across the world crying and another million cheering, one of which is Amy).  This morning, Dan also visited Amy's work to get some work done on his back...he feels much better.

July 9, 2002
After Amy's luncheon with the National Space Club (yes, this is a real "club"), she stopped and got Ian his baptism suit.  Then she picked up the kids and headed to the doctor's office so Ian could get 5 painful shots...he is now weighing in at 14 lbs 14 oz and is 25 in long.

July 10, 2002
Not much news today, just the normal everyday stuff.

July 11, 2002
Amy's day off was spent catching-up with the laundry, registering Coral for school, and making some phone calls...Good luck to Marie on her interview tomorrow.

July 12, 2002
After work, Coral, Jordan, and Amy went and got dinner and a movie.  So, we all watched "Shrek" finally!  Coral and Jordan loved it and we all we dancing around the TV room singing.  Amy gives it zero "long winks"...great fun for the whole family.

July 13, 2002
Coral and Amy went to gymnastics and then it was off to do some school shopping for the big kindergartener and food shopping.  While they were gone, Dan did some cleaning of the back porch, but it started raining and Ian and Jordan needed lunch and then they needed naps, so not too much was accomplished.  Oh yeah, Coral watched "Shrek" two more times.

July 14, 2002
Dan and Coral did the church thing and then got some baby food for Ian because he can start eating yellow and orange vegies.  After they got home, we started work-time again.  Got the back porch cleaned and the lawn mowed and Coral even fit in another viewing of "Shrek".  After all the work was completed, we spent the evening in the pool on this very hot, rain-free day and then enjoyed pizza on the clean, back porch...hope we get this same weather in 3 weeks.

July 15, 2002
Work, daycare and summer rec...then after all that it was so hot and humid we took a dip in the pool to cool off, and yes still no rain...woo hoo.

July 16, 2002
Work, daycare and summer rec...not much else.

July 17, 2002
Today Dan and Amy took a half day of work off, so we could take Coral to see her new school for registration day at Gardendale!  She got to meet her new teacher, Mr. Giddy, and got to see her room...she is starting to get excited.  After that, we picked up Ian and Jordan and came home and did some serious swimming!  It has been so hot that the water is now 93 degrees!

July 18, 2002
In the middle of the night, Coral was sick every hour on the hour.  So Amy stayed up with here and luckily she had a day off, so she could be with Coral all day.  It is probably better to get it out of the way before school starts on Monday.

July 19, 2002
Dan took the day off to be with Coral, but she wanted to go to her last day at Trinity and felt well enough to go, so she did.  Dan stayed home and cleaned until Jordan and Ian's daycare called to say that Jordan had been having "the runs", so Dan got the both of them for the rest of the day...so much for the cleaning of the house.

July 20, 2002
Every body seems to be OK, so John and Krista and Tuffer and Erin came over to do some swimming and drink some 'ritas and do some cooking out.  The afternoon thunder storms didn't stop the fun from continuing inside.

July 21, 2002
After church, Amy and Coral did some shopping at Wal-Mart and signed up Jordan for swimming leasons.  Then once they got home, Amy did some weeding and Dan cut the grass before it started raining.  Every one still seems to be OK...just 1 more sleep until school!  After the kids went to bed, Dan and Amy watched "John Q"...Amy gives it 2 1/2 "long winks".  Dan thought it was just a little melodramatic, but worth seeing for yourself.

July 22, 2002
Today was a pretty busy day...it all started with Coral's first day of kindergarten.  She was so cute and had fun at school, but she said she doesn't know any of the other kids' names yet.  Then came Jordan and her diarrhea.  Dan had to leave work early to pick her up and take her to the doctor's office because she also had a fever.  After spending 2 plus hours in there, nothing was diagnosed, so they have to run some more tests to see what the problem is and what we can do to fix it.  Because Dan took his car (the Jeep), Amy got a ride home from Katie (Rehab Works Intern) and picked up Coral and Ian.  When they got home Zoey left a surprise for her in her cage.  At least the day ended on a good note...because Coral did a great job at school, she got "Shrek" on DVD so we could watch it as many times as we want to...and we will I'm sure!

July 23, 2002
Because Jordan still had a fever, Amy switched days of work with Thursday (her usual day off) and stayed home with Jordan and Ian.  Coral had another good day at kindergarten and extended care...Dan picked her up after work.  After Dan and Coral got home, Amy and Coral went shopping for school supplies and dinner.

July 24, 2002
It was Dan's turn to stay home with Jordan, who still had a slight fever.  Ian went to daycare, Coral went to school and Amy went to work.  While at home, Dan cut the grass and cleaned the pool...now it looks spotless and hopefully will stay that way for all the visitors next week.

July 25, 2002
After work, school and daycare, we all took a dip in the pool because it was too hot to do anything else.  Well, actually it wasn't too hot to eat, so we did that too.

July 26, 2002
Another hot day and another day of swimming in the pool after work, school, and daycare and pizza for dinner.  The kids are getting excited about meeting their new cousin, Madi, who will be here in a week...they must take after their dad.

July 27, 2002
Amy and Coral went to gymnastics and then did some shopping...we also did some cleaning getting ready for our guests.  Then, of course, we did some swimming.

July 28, 2002
After Dan and Coral went to church, we all went to BJs to stock-up on food, a before-guest ritual.  After we found enough room in the freezer, Doug and Kristie came over to introduce Trenton, their new baby boy.  Then after dinner, we cleaned the chairs outside and cut the grass in the back yard, while Jordan and Coral did some swimming and Ian played on the back porch.

July 29, 2002
After work, daycare and school, Dan cut the front yard and the kids watched "Shrek", again, while Amy played with Ian...later, Amy cleaned the TV room...just another day of prep.

July 30, 2002
After work, school and daycare, Amy had the first of many dentist appointments.  Later she and Ian went to Grills with the Rehab Works staff to say good-bye to the Interns for the summer, while Dan fine tuned the swimming pool and Coral & Jordan did some playing.

July 31, 2002
While Dan was at the same place he was when Amy started labor with Ian for some training, Coral's school called to tell us that she had a fever and was sick.  So when Dan got home, he was surprised to find Coral on the couch sick and Amy there helping her get better.  She seems to have the same thing she had 2 weeks ago and hopefully she will get better just as quick.
