Today was another bad day...on the way to work and daycare, Dan was pulled over for speeding, so Coral was late for a trip with the rest of the kids and had to stay at the school.  Jordan pushed another kid and was in trouble all day.  Ian got sick all over another kid in his class.  Lastly, during day one of the big move, Amy dropped a huge box on her foot and broke her toe.
And if you believed that, I got some swamp land to sell you...Happy April Fools Day!

April 2, 2004
Dan failed to mention that he did some jammin' with Chuck yesterday for fear that it would mistook as an April Fool's joke...he needs the practice for the big Rich Rust Tribute Show!  Not much else going on...just day 2 of the big move for Amy and nice to get Friday here.

April 3, 2004
Amy worked today for two reasons: 1. To get her area ready for the grand reopening of RehabWorks in the new space & 2. So that she could have Good Friday off and be with the kids.

WAKE UP!  YOU'RE LATE, IT'S DAYLIGHT SAVINGS DAY!!!
The Andersons came for their annual visit from their west coast vacation spot.  It is always nice for them to take the time from relaxing to come to our three-kid circus.  We got some pizza and even did a little swimming, but it was still to cool in the pool to stay in too long.

April 5, 2004
After a tough morning of waking up because of Daylight Savings, we finally got to work and daycare and Coral starts school tomorrow.  Later, Dan and Jordan enjoyed her new night of gymnastics.  Even later, Amy went to get her dress fitted for Marie and Dwain's wedding.  Dan also added another little
story about Rich to the site today.

April 6, 2004
Coral had a busy day...first day back to school and back to T-ball.  Amy, Jordan, and Ian came to the game also and it was nice to end the game before the sun went down.

April 7, 2004
After school, Coral's Brownie Troop took a field-trip to the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville (not the Fairy Tale one).  That was it for the excitement of the day.

April 8, 2004
Dan and Coral's T-ball game got cancelled due to the weather, which was kinda stormy.  Amy and the kids celebrated their last day of work, school, and daycare, while Dan frowned.  Dan got the beta-test site for the Jet Fighters up and running, so check it out!

April 9, 2004
While Dan was off doing his "work thang", the rest of the Florida Remberts spent the day at home in their jammies...Happy Good Friday to Dan!

April 10, 2004
Amy did some early Easter food shopping, then Dan did some Easter grass cutting, and the kids did some Easter cleaning-up of the toys.  Later, Dan played some poker with a few guys, including Chuck and his brothers (one of which was the guy Dan hit in the accident on March 29th)...guess Dan is going to start making friends by hitting them with his car first.

April 11, 2004
Happy Easter!!!
The Easter Bunny showed up for all the little kiddies.  Once Coral, Jordan, and Ian found their baskets, they were put to the test again and had to find eggs that were hidden throughout the yard.  Later, the Shaffers visited to enjoy the day by and in the pool and Easter turkey.

April 12, 2004
Shouldn't the Monday after Easter be some sort of holiday, but noooooo!  So it was back to the grind for the Florida Remberts.  Later in the day, Jordan had gymnastics after school and she is finally saying gymnastics correctly (she is so proud of herself).

April 13, 2004
Dan visited Jimmie Vickers Jeep during lunch to get the Jeep in to fix the brake-lights, which weren't working because of a blown fuse.  Coral and Dan were visited by Amy, Jordan and Ian at their T-ball game after work, school and daycare.

April 14, 2004
The Jet Fighters Site is up and ready for visitors, so go on and sign the guestbook.  After Coral had Brownies, Amy spent the night preparing and packing for her trip back to Pittsburgh for Marie's Bridal Shower.  We hope that every body gets nice and clean for the wedding!

April 15, 2004
Amy left Florida for Marie's Shower today.  Dan was in charge of getting all the kids to the ball field so Shannah could watch Ian and Jordan while Dan and Coral had their game.

April 16, 2004
With Amy in Pittsburgh, Dan took Coral to gymnastics and then got Ian and Jordan who had picture day today (that was fun finding something nice for them to wear in the morning).  After the kids were on-board and Coral was finished with her routine, we all went over Shannah's house.  Dan, Ian, and Jordan returned home and Coral stayed with Sierra for a sleep-over.

April 17, 2004
Once we were all up, we met Coral at the softball field (Sierra and David had practice).  We stayed there for a little while and then went to the park at Cocoa Village where there was some kind of kid's festival going on at the time.  That was a cool surprise and the kids enjoyed the always present big blow-up bouncing thing, watching the kids dance recital, a middle school band, and other stuff like that.  There was also this lady with a guitar telling stories and the kids watched her for a little bit.  While she was performing a story, the 3 kids sat down to watch...Jordan, then Coral, and then Ian who proceeded fall through the middle of the folding chair and bring the attention of the entire park, including the CDC, by the announcement over the lady's speaker in her best Mr. Roger's Voice, "Dad, come over and pick him up."  If Dan gets sent away for child neglect at a children's festival, you will all know why.

April 18, 2004
Dan and the kids did nothing but stay at home and play.  Amy did her Pittsburgh shower-thing and flew home to be with her family.

April 19, 2004
Everyone was happy to get back to "normal" life for a little while, but Ian ruined that by getting a little fever.  Hopefully it will run its course by the time Dan leaves for Pittsburgh.

April 20, 2004
Amy had a quick doctor's appointment before work, so she took Ian with her because he was not feeling too good, but he did go to pre-school after that.  Later, Dan and Coral had a game.  Today was also the kick-off of the annual EEAW (Environmental & Energy Awareness Week) at KSC, but Dan will be missing most of the festivities because of his trip back to Pittsburgh,
which he had to also pack for later in the night.

April 21, 2004
While Dan was traveling back to Pittsburgh, Amy took Ian to the doctor's to make sure that he does not have something serious, which was the case, so it was back to pre-school again.  Dan, Matt and Shawn (the Jet Fighters) had their first practice for the show.  It went pretty well considering that this was the first time Matt & Shawn played together ever, the first time in 16-years that Dan & Shawn played together, and the first time in 5-years that Matt & Dan have played together.  We went through all 7 of our songs and
some were better than others.

April 22, 2004
Coral had a field trip to Kelly Park with her class.  Dan got a hair cut and then had practice again.  Shawn took the day off so we could get some extra work in on the songs.  Dwain on his day off watched our much improved session and even used their new video camera to get some footage before and after Matt got there after work.  Later, Dan went home with Matt to stay there and work on the songs some more.

April 23, 2004
Just another day of practice before the show.  Today we had to cut two of the songs to make our 20-minute time slot.  We picked 2 cover tunes to leave out of our set.  The difference between the first practice and last was "night and day" and it was good the "day" fell on the last practice...the Jet Fighters are ready to Rock!

April 24, 2004
This was the day of the BIG Friends of Rich Rust Tribute Concert!  The show was awesome, the Jet Fighters did great, all the bands sounded wonderful, the auctions raised very much money, but most of all, it was a perfect tribute to a great man, Rich Rust.
Dan will be writing more about the details in a Story about Rich soon.

April 25, 2004
Dan spent the day rehashing all the fun of the tribute show with the Rusts and the Remberts (and Dwain and Christy, Matt's girlfriend).  After a great steak dinner, it was time to catch the plane back to Florida.  Amy and the kids spent the entire weekend swimming.

April 26, 2004
Back to the grind for all, but most of all back to reality...after having Amy gone two weeks ago and Dan gone last week, it was nice to have the help.  Later, Jordan had gymnastics.

April 27, 2004
The rain of the day did not dampen the spirits or the field at T-ball...game on!  The season is almost over, but the Dolphins are still having fun.

April 28, 2004
This was the most normal day since...well, I'm not sure when.  Amy and Dan and the kids finally rode into work, school and daycare together for the first time in about 20-days.  Dan also finished transferring the video from the show onto VHS tapes...lots of footage.

April 29, 2004
After work, school and daycare, Coral and Dan had their T-Ball game in spite of the threat of rain.  Now that Dan is done being a rock star, he can concentrate on his writing profession again...make sure to read his latest Story about Rich!

April 30, 2004
Today we got ready for the new couch to arrive by moving all the furniture and steam-cleaning the family room and boy, did it need it!  The water was muddier than the mighty Mississippi.
