Beware the Ides of March!...also beware the Florida Remberts Thursday schedule.  Pick-ups galore, with Coral in show choir and Jordan in hip-hop dance class.

March 2, 2007
Some times we all get lucky and then that lucky catches up with us.  The good luck came when the power at KSC went out and Dan and Amy were sent home early.  Amy took the time to do some shopping and Dan did a few things around the house.  Later, Amy took Ian to tee-ball and Dan took Jordan and Coral to gymnastics.  After Ian's practice, Amy relieved Dan of his duties at gymnastics and he played cards at Melbourne Greyhound Parkthis is when the bad luck caught up to him.  While Dan was off losing his shirt, Amy and the kids met Genese and the kids at Steak n- Shake for dinner.  Dan lost all his money and almost beat Amy home if it weren't for the slow service of the local Burger King, which should lose its "fast food license"...half an hour for 2 fish sandwiches, now what is so fast about that?!

March 3, 2007
Today was opening day for the North Merritt Island Little League and Ian joined his team, the Cardinals, for the festivities.  After all the pomp and circumstances, we ate lunch and watched the team in the bat around to kick of the season.  That was the end of the events for the daythe rest of the day was spent doing various things around the house including switching up Ian's room.

March 4, 2007
God is finally smiling down upon us as we made it back to visit Him at church after a long hiatus.  Coral, Jordan, and Ian then went to CCD and Amy and Dan saved the food shopping until later in the day.  Since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to all go to the ball field during Ians afternoon practice.  We all played and enjoyed the sun-filled day, and then went to BJs and Publix for the weekly/monthly shopping spree.  Once we got back home, it was time to make dinner, which we enjoyed outside in the lanai.

March 5, 2007
Just your normal softball practice after work and school, but not much else to be discussed here.

Happy 5th Birthday to Ian!!!
After school and work, Ian wanted to celebrate his birthday with a Papa Johns pizza, so him and Amy went and picked it up and got some dessert to sing Happy Birthday to you to him because the kids at Alpha devoured the birthday cookie we took there earlier in the day and saved none for us.  After dinner, Ian opened his presents and played with them until it was time to sing and blow out candles as mentioned previously.

March 7, 2007
Jordan joined Amy at Corals softball practice so that they could have some quiet time in the car to do homework while Dan and Ian played games after dinner and apparently made disturbing noises.

March 8, 2007
Aside from Jordans hip-hop class and the beautiful weather, there is not much going on with the Florida Remberts.

March 9, 2007
Happy Birthday to
Richy!!!
After work and school, Amy was with Ian at tee-ball practice and Dan was with Jordan and Coral at gymnastics, but once it was all done we convened at Applebees for dinner.

March 10, 2007
We were all up at the crack of dawn (ok, maybe that is an exaggeration) for opening day of softball in the morning and tee-ball game in the afternoon, which made for a long day in the sun.  After the festivities, Ian and Jordan took the first dip of the year in the pool and construction commenced on the race track that Ian got for his birthday and man, is the track huge.  Just before bed, we remembered to set the clocks ahead, hope you did too!

March 11, 2007
Even though we were good at remembering to set the clocks ahead for daylight savings, we forgot to set the alarm and didnt get up in time for church, but we couldnt miss CCD because Amy made a special guest appearance.  Amy was asked to substitute for Ians CCD class, and she rose to the challenge and took on the 4 and 5 year-olds.  Dan took on his own challenge; he was placed in charge of food shopping for the week and performed miraculously.  After we returned for St. Marys, Coral was off to Laurens for the day and Dan, Amy, Ian, and Jordan cleaned the cars all day.  After dinner, phase II of the construction of the mammoth race track continued and was completed.  After the last few bugs were worked out, racing was set into motion until bedtime.

March 12, 2007
Amy took a sick day, but don't worry she was just spent time at Gardendale.  First she was with Jordan's class and watched her rehearse their performance and then with Coral's class on a field trip to the "Super Scientific Circus" where they taught everyone the scientific rationale behind all the tricks of the trade.  Don't feel bad for Ian, he had his chance with activities later when his team had practice and then we went a couple of feet over to Coral's first game of the season after that.  That's it for todaywelcome to springtime with the Florida Remberts!

March 13, 2007
A busy evening started with a trip to the tee-ball field to watch Ian's team and where Amy did her parental duty and worked the concession stand.  Speaking of parental duties, Dan left the field early and attended a meeting to construct the stage props for Coral's class production at the end of this school year.  And all this before dinner time (well, at least our dinner).

March 14, 2007
Nothing exciting to report except a double that Coral hit in her softball gameotherwise, much of the same.

March 15, 2007
At school, Coral and her class caught a glimpse of Jordan's dress rehearsal and it seems that the cast is ready for the big production tomorrow.  The Thursday mayhem started after school was out with show choir and hip-hop and the added softball practice for Coral, which further complicated things.

March 16, 2007
Jordan's show was a hit!  The entire family enjoyed watching Jordan and her school-mates as they performed the show, "Once Upon a Lilly Pad".  Amy also attended the cast party after the show as they celebrated the command performance and the end of the semester.  After gymnastics, Amy picked up Jordan's friend, Riley for Jordan's first sleep-over and we all went to McDonald's for dinner and playtimenot too exciting for the parents, but the kids loved it.

March 17, 2007
Happy St. Pattys Day!!!
We started the day with a trip to the ball field and watched Ian's team.  After the game, we traded Riley for her brother, Houston because she had a birthday to go to and he is in show choir with Coral and they had show at the high school later in the afternoon.  GEMS Showstoppers performed during a "Relay for Life" rally, so Amy took Coral and Houston and Dan and Jordan stayed home while Ian took a nap (too much activity for the poor kid).

March 18, 2007
We made it back to church once again, but the real trick will be, can we make it two weeks in a row.  Amy once again substituted for Ian's CCD class, which left Dan to do the weekly food shopping on his own.  Once we were back home, it was time to get to the hard work.  Coral did her chores, Dan did some much needed yard work and Amy joined him after a quick trip to BJs (Ian and Jordan both helped out at different times).  At least it was a perfect day to be out doing yard worksunny and not too hot.  After dinner, Ian and Dan took turns getting their spring hair cut.

March 19, 2007
Today was the first day of Coral and Jordan's Spring Break at all-day care, which will be filled with fun and games for the kids and keep them busy.  After Dan picked the kids up and fed them dinner, Amy took Coral to her softball game.

March 20, 2007
Coral spent the day at Marisas house after her sleep over visit and even took a dip in their pool.  Amy and Jordan took Ian to his 5-year doctors appointment where he weighed in at 35 lbs (10th percentile) and was 42 inches tall (50th percentile) and he received some shots to make the visit memorable.  After the doctors visit, Dan, Coral and the rest of the family met up at the field for Ians tee-ball game, which will be on hiatus during the break and there will be no games or practices over the next few weeks.

March 21, 2007
Happy Spring!!!
The only significant activity of the day was Corals softball game, but it is nice that Spring finally arrived and you can sure feel it in the air in Florida.

March 22, 2007
Jordan had her weekly hip-hop class and Coral had softball practice.  Now that we got Coral's softball practice is out of the way this evening and gymnastics tomorrow, we are on hiatus for all sports activities until April.

March 23, 2007
Once gymnastics was finished, we celebrated the end of the week and headed to the Port for dinner at Grills only to find a 2-hour wait was ahead of usdamn spring-breakers.  We quickly moved the dinner plans to Fishlips where we had no wait and was finished eating by the time we would have got seated at Grills.  After we arrived back in the neighborhood, we dropped Coral off at Laurens house for a sleep over party.

March 24, 2007
Dan spent the day, the entire day, with a small group of parents and Mrs. Barone where they constructed the buildings for the set of Corals class play.  While Dan was nailing and screwing (in a carpenter kind of way), Coral spent the day at Laurens, Amy did a few things around the house while the kids played, and Erin spent the day over to give the Shaffers one less child to worry about as Tuffer recuperated from his operation, which went very well on the 21st.  After pleading for the idea a few times, we agreed to have Erin sleep over.

March 25, 2007
It's a Lenten miracle!  We made it back to church for the second week in a row.  Amy didn't have any duties for CCD, so we left the kids, had breakfast at McDonalds, and completed the week's grocery shopping.  After CCD, we took advantage of the perfect weather and spent the afternoon at the beach with the spring-breakers.  Because Coral didn't attend our beach fun and sun (she was too tired and stayed behind to watch TV and rest), we took the Jeep and acted like real beach-goers with the wind through our hair.

March 26, 2007
With no activities this evening, it was a pretty calm day as we got back to the grind.

March 27, 2007
After work and all-day care, we had a little activities time of our ownwe rode our bikes around the neighborhood.

March 28, 2007
Not much going on, just another day in paradise.

March 29, 2007
Coral left today as Jessica and Danielles [Denises (Dans old NASA boss) daughters] guest on a family camping trip to Ormond Beachshe packed her sleeping bag, swimsuit, bike, and fishing pole, so she will have plenty of fun on her 3-day trip.  After day-care, Jordan missed her hip-hop class because she was not feeling good and later we found out that she had some kind of stomach virus because she was sick all through the nightpoor kid.

March 30, 2007
Amy stayed home with Jordan who remained very ill and Ian stayed home too just because he didnt have to go to school for spring break.  Coral and the Thallers left the Ormond Beach because for the first time in about a month it rained most of the day and made the campsite quite messyinstead they had a sleep over at their house.  The rain also ruined Doug and Dans ride home with the doors out of the Jeepthe extra company was because Dougs truck would not start.

March 31, 2007
Most of the day centered around taking care of Jordan in her sickened state, but Jordan is such a good patient that the only difference is not having her singing and playing around the house all day.  Everyone was overjoyed to see Coral return home around dinner time, especially Jordan who started eating a little and may be on the road to recovery.
