Today was Jordan and Dan's first official game...Jordan did great and Dan was more organized now that he is a second year pro.  Jordan got on base both times she was up and even made some defensive plays.  Those plays were hilarious!  She would catch a ground ball and then jump up and scream, "woo hoo!!!!".  Then we would tell her to throw it next time and she would just throw it to anyone and start celebrating again...at least she is having fun and the parents and coaches were surely having fun watching her rant and rave like she won the game.

March 2, 2005
Coral is having more problems with her appliance, so she got it removed again and will be back to put a new one in its place in a few weeks.  After some shopping for the new house and picking-up Jordan and Ian, we went to Steak -n- Shake for dinner.  Amy is now not feeling good and probably got what Ian had, so she took Ian and Jordan home while Dan stayed for Coral's game.

March 3, 2005
Today was the inspection on our new house and it went great!  They found about a half dozen total minor things wrong with the place and every one of them will be fixed by the current owner.  The weather was chilly and wet most of the day, so the t-ball game was cancelled.  Coral had another prep-class for her first communion where she played the part of the first female priest in the teaching session.  Later, we all took time to finally relax and do some move planning.

March 4, 2005
We started scheduling the transfer of utilities today...this is one of the most fun parts of moving is to let every one and every company know that you will be moving.  Later, Jordan and Coral had gymnastics, but Dan cut out early to go give money to his poker friends.

March 5, 2005
Today we started the other part of the moving process, the packing of all our stuff.  The walls are just about bare and boxes are starting to fill rooms where are stuff used to be...the happiness of moving is to dodge boxes and look for stuff you thought you wouldn't need anymore.  Later, Amy, Coral and Jordan went on a shopping spree for Ian's birthday.

March 6, 2005
Happy 3rd Birthday to Ian!!!
We all woke up and Ian opened his presents from the family.  He was pretty excited about his gifts.  Later, the Shaffers and Kristie and Trenton came over to help do a little celebrating.

March 7, 2005
Today was a day that all Catholics dread for Coral...her First Reconciliation.  She and Dan went to an evening mass for the community confessionals and she handled the pressure with much "grace".

March 8, 2005
Amy took Jordan and Ian to Ian's 3-year check-up and all is great!  He is growing and doing well.  Despite a wind-storm of hurricane proportions, the Dolphins had a good game.

March 9, 2005
Happy Birthday to Rich, we are thinking of you!!!
The constant, all-day rain forced Coral's game to be cancelled, so after we picked-up the van-car at the shop (it was time for new oil, brakes, and tires @ 40,000 miles) we did some bedroom furniture shopping.  We found a set that we liked, but we are going to continue to look for the best price.  Just as an aside, we have had our bedroom set 12-years and Dan's parents owned it another 25-years, so it is time to retire the set and get new stuff for the new house.

March 10, 2005
Now that the rain passed through, the sun was bright, but the temperatures were a bit down (we will not advertise the exact temperature because we know we have northerners listening).  The field we pretty good for the t-ball game, but the kids were late and wound up for some reason.  The good news of the day was Dan called the Flamingo and booked their room for Vegas Baby so all that's left to do now
is pack and win our money.

March 11, 2005
Coral's play/musical, "Go Fish" was today and she was a shark.  The Gardendale plays are always so cool and well produced and this was just another example of a great show for the parents.  Later, Dan was in charge of the kids and gymnastics because Amy was at a "baby shower"...has everyone noticed how this traditionally woman event has become a unisex thing; well this was the case here.  It was for Erik (from work) and his wife and a few people from work showed.

March 12, 2005
Jordan and Amy went to a birthday party for one of Jordan's classmates at a ranch while Dan did some packing and general cleanup for the move.  Later we all jumped in the van-car to look for bedroom furniture for Dan and Amy on "Furniture-store Lane" in Melbourne...we think we found our set.  We then went to Chowders for a late dinner.

March 13, 2005
Amy, Jordan and Coral went to church and CCD/Publix for the week and then we spent the day doing more packing.  Not much else went on at our house.

March 14, 2005
With no game for Coral because of a bye-week in the schedule, it was a pretty uneventful day.  We did finally take a look at Coral's latest report card and were extremely happy to find all Os (outstandings) for this quarterway to go Coral and enjoy your time off from school for 3 weeks!

March 15, 2005
Most of the day was nice until it was time to get the kids for Dan and Jordan's game.  That was when the rain clouds rolled in and the lightning soon followed and the game was quickly cancelled.

March 16, 2005
Coral has been going to her aftercare for all-day-care and they have these little contests...yesterday it was a bubble-gum blowing contest and today it was a jump-rope contest.  Well, she won both contests!  Speaking of Coral, rain and a wet field cancelled her game this evening, but that didn't get her down at all, she was too excited about having a sleep-over at her friend's, Lauren's house...yes, this means that Coral spent her first of many nights at Copperfield.  After we dropped Coral off at Lauren's, we went bedroom furniture shopping and spent all our extra money on a new suite.  In other great NEWS,
Erik from work and his wife Jen had their baby girl!

March 17, 2005
Happy St. Patty's Day!!!
It was the epitome of a rainy dayit rained all day long and cancelled t-ball.  After work, Dan and Amy picked up the kids and went to Wal-mart to find sheets to cover up the new bedding,
but instead they found lamps and pillows.

March 18, 2005
The weekend started with a trip to the vets for Zoeyshe got her teeth cleaned and a general check-up.  Then after work and daycare, it was time to get the kids to gymnastics.  Soon after arrival, Amy met them and Dan had to leave to pick up Zoey before the place closed.  Dan made it in time (barely) and then it was time for poker night and recruitment for the big move in 2-weeks.
Dan came away with some money and some help this night!

March 19, 2005
The fun continued for Zoey as she was the first to get groomed for the holiday and the move.  The rest of the day was filled with packing, packing and more packing, and man we took a big bite out of the chore today.  Later, we relaxed with the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on VH1.  It was pretty good this year with U2 (one of Dan's favorite bands) seemingly the focal point.  Although there is nothing like a little blues and Buddy Guy, BB King and Eric Clapton were awesome, not to mention the Pretenders sounded good.  All during the show and especially the U2 part,
all Dan kept on thinking was "Rich would enjoy this!"

March 20, 2005
Dan, Coral and Jordan went to church and CCD/Publix for the week.  Guess what, we did even more packing, but we took it kinda easy today to save some energyplus most of the stuff left to pack, is still needed.  The weekend ended on another grooming noteboth Ian and Dan got their hair cut and look spiffy for the upcoming events.

March 21, 2005
After a weekend filled with beautiful weather, the Monday rain rolled in and cancelled Coral's softball game, but not to fret, she won yet another contest at daycarethis time it was a dress-up contest with a Cowboy/Cowgirl and Indian theme.

March 22, 2005
After toying with our emotions for a couple weeks, the mortgage company finally made it official today by approving our loanfirst it was the appraiser that had to be convinced of the sale price, then it was the underwriter, and finally the manager of the department, but now the loan is ours with only 9 days left until our closing.  Later, the Dolphins snuck the game in before it rained.

March 23, 2005
Coral finally played a softball game with no rain delays or cancellations...
that was where the excitement of the day ended.

March 24, 2005
Now that the last softball or t-ball game was played before spring break and the move, we enjoyed one of the last times we had to sit in traffic to get back to Rockledge...woo hoo!

March 25, 2005
Countdown to moveT-minus 7 days!!!
The day started off with Zoey deciding to make the last day in her cage a memorable one by "running away", but don't worry she was spotted on the next block taking a leisurely jaunt.  Dan and Amy only worked half the day because of it being Good Friday and all and Coral joined Ian and Jordan at their school, so we were home nice and early.  In the middle of a pouring rain-storm, the guests/visitors arrived, but couldn't quite get inside for fear of melting in the driving rain and hail.  Once the rain slowed a little, Lorie, Halee, and Chloee (our final guests) and John and Sandy (staying at the beach) exited the rental and braved the storm to enter the Bolton Bed and Breakfast for the final time.

March 26, 2005
Countdown to moveT-minus 6 days!!!
The rain somewhat dampened the spirits of our guests, but helped keep the proprietors focused on the packing and chores of the day with less than a week left in the countdown to the big move.  The weather held off just long enough for some swimming for the kids and some sunbathing for Lorie, but the temperature of the pool and the thunder and lightning soon put an end to that effort.  Later after bath and bedtime preparations were completed, Dan, Amy, and Lorie went by the new house (to show it off) on their way to dinner at Carrabba's.

March 27, 2005
Countdown to moveT-minus 5 days!!!
Happy Easter to all (except our non-Christian friendsin those cases, Happy Passover, etc.)!!!
After the kids found their baskets, Dan, Amy, Coral, Jordan, Ian, Lorie, Halee, and Chloee packed into the van and located a nice spot (not too close, but not too far) for 8 of us to behold Easter service.  Because the weather finally cooperated for most of the day, we decided to cancel our reservations for the stuffy buffet and have a cookout, which emptied our freezer of hotdogs and burgers (less to move!).  The bed and breakfast later transformed into the Bolton Theater as we enjoyed the viewing of "The Incredibles".

March 28, 2005
Countdown to moveT-minus 4 days!!!
With Coral on Spring Break, she spent the day at home with Lorie, Halee, and Chloee, while Dan and Amy took Ian and Jordan to school.  It was nice to have dinner prepared and served by Lorie as we walked through the door after the craziness of softball/t-ball forced us to eat out so often.  To celebrate Dan and Amy sat with the chef and ate in peace after the kids were all finished.

March 29, 2005
Countdown to move...T-minus 3 days!!!
The big NEWS of the day was Dan received an award at work and got to shake hands with the Center Director to accept the Certificate of Appreciation!

March 30, 2005
Countdown to move...T-minus 2 days!!!
We packed the final last few items today and now are ready for the big move to Merritt Island!  The question is: are our bodies ready for the move?

March 31, 2005
Countdown to move...T-minus 1 day!!!
Dan and Amy took a half day from work to do the closings on our houses (or at least that was what we thought).  About 20 minutes before our first closing (Bolton), we found out that there would be a delay and this delay got pushed back several times.  Once we got word that the closing would "definitely be today", we decided to close on our second house (Abbeyridge) to get the signatures out of the way.  It was at about 4 pm (3-hours after the closing was supposed to happen) that we caught wind of the storm of lies.  The closing never happened and this caused the signatures on the Abbeyridge papers to be null and void.  No closing, no new house
