| Here is what is going on with the Florida Remberts |
| March 1, 2003 After Coral had gymnastics and Ian and Jordan had naptime, the original plan was for the Florida Remberts to go to Cocoa Village for a craft fair. That plan got changed to a trip out to Cocoa Beach, but the weather spoiled that plan too. The one thing that the wet weather could not dampen was Amy and Dan's date to Carrabba's for a nice evening out. As always, the food was great and it gave them a chance to plan their trip to Vegas. March 2, 2003 After Dan and Coral went to Church and Coral extended her fun to CCD (no shopping needed this week), we tried again to do the early nap and trip to the beach. Once again the weather was not cooperating with us, but that didn't stop us from going...it just stopped us from staying very long. We spent about 15 minutes looking for shells (John and Coral found a huge one that was almost just placed there for them to find..."wink-wink") before the rain started again. We all then went upstairs for dinner at Marlins on the Cocoa Pier. March 3, 2003 Well, it all started with pizza, now it is ending with pizza...to say good-bye, the Manions came bearing slices of Papa John's. Dan finally added 6-months worth of pictures to the Family Album, so make sure to go and check them out! March 4, 2003 As one set of parents left by plane, the other set was on their way by car... so we got the house ready for the next house guests. March 5, 2003 Happy Ash Wednesday and Merry Lent to all! Gramma and Pap Rembert got in today to kick-off the lenten season in good fashion. Here is the yearly run-down of our sacrafices for lent...Dan will be giving up chocolate again since he did so good last year, Amy is giving up spending as much money which will be hard in Vegas (actually it will be hard for her everywhere!), Coral is giving up flying airplanes because she feels it's just not safe anymore, Jordan is giving up biting because every good day starts with "no bite, no hit", and Ian is giving up karate because he feels once you hit black belt status, it's only down hill from there. Judy and Gene will be giving up snow...ha ha to all the northerners! March 6, 2003 Happy 1st Birthday to Ian!!! After work, school, and daycare, Ian took a birthday nap...he must of had too much fun at his daycare party. After he got up, we had a little party and he opened some cards and presents. March 7, 2003 Today was a nice, hot day, so Judy and Gene went out to the beach while the Florida Remberts spent the day doing the usual work/school/daycare thing. March 8, 2003 Coral didn't have gymnastics because it was the Party day! We did the final preparations in the morning and then the guests started to arrive around noon. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, that didn't stop the fun from fully progressing...some even got some swimming in between the downpours. First we had a cookout and then some cake. Ian got to then watch as his sisters unwrapped his presents. After all the "Oooos and Ahhhs" and a quick visit with everyone, it was nap time for Ian. Once everyone started to leave, so did Coral on her first sleep-over! She went with Sierra, Shannah, David and Sierra's cousin and had a blast. March 9, 2003 Happy Birthday to Richy!!! Amy, Jordan, and Pap went to pick up Coral, get directions, and take Coral to CCD, while Dan, Ian, and Gramma did some cleaning up and laundry. The rest of the day was pretty much spent outside by the pool and Gene and Dan even got in the pool until it started to cloud over. March 10, 2003 Today at work, Rehab Works had the 2nd of their 4 part series to celebrate National Athletic Training Month..."Athletic Training & Motorsports". That is not the exciting part, this came when Amy climbed into one of the visiting race cars (Richard Petty's School of Driving or something) like Daisy Duke (minus the shorts) and got the engine started and revved it up to deafen all the audience, including Dan. After climbing back out, her only quote was "WHAT?!". March 11, 2003 Today was Ian's 1-year doctor check-up and all went well (except for 3 shots)...he now weighs in at 22 lbs and is 30 inches tall. While the Florida Remberts were adjusting their schedules to get Ian to the doctor's office, the Pittsburgh Remberts were out and about. Judy got dropped off in Cocoa Beach and then took the bus everywhere and finally ended up at the Merritt Square Mall. Gene went out to do some golfing at Patrick Air Force Base, but got stood-up so he spent the afternoon eating meal after meal at the NCO Club. March 12, 2003 Today was Daisy-day for Coral, so once that was over and everybody was home we waited for the next guests at the Bolton Bed and Breakfast. Aunt Re Re and Danielle got in about 7:30 and got caught-up on all the action of the past 7-months. March 13, 2003 Ian had a fever today, so Dan stayed home with him and the rest of the gang while Amy took Coral to school and Jordan to daycare. It was a gorgeous day and Ian slept most of the time, so most of the day was spent outside and in the pool. March 14, 2003 Ian was all better (must be his teeth coming in) so it was back to daycare for him and Jordan, the last day of school for Coral for 3-weeks (she is on her spring break), and work for Amy. Dan stayed home to go with Marie, Danielle and Judy around town. First it was breakfast, then the beach, and finally, a late lunch at Grills. After that fun was over, we picked Coral up and took a quick trip to the mall and then picked-up Jordan and Ian. Later that night, Amy joined Judy, Danielle, and Marie at the movies. They saw "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and they all loved it! Amy gives it 1/2 a "long wink" and said she was laughing in the aisles. Dan stayed home and watched "Rush Hour" and "Rush Hour 2" and Roz came down from St. Augustine for the night. March 15, 2003 Today was the big "shopping for the wedding dress" day...Amy, Judy, Marie, Danielle, and Roz went to a few boutiques in the Orlando area. After going to a few places and getting lunch, they returned home. Dan and Pap had a few things going on back at home...Coral's friend Jordan had a birthday party, so Pap planned on taking her...he ended up getting lost and came home, so Dan ended up taking her late and by the time he got home, it was time to go back to find that everyone except Coral and Helen and Rick (Jordan's mom and dad) had left because of rain. That kind of stuff is always fun! Anyways...after dinner and bedtime, Dan, Amy, Danielle, and Marie went out to Cocoa Beach for a few hours... nothing exciting, but yet fun. March 16, 2003 Amy, Coral, Pap and Gramma went to church together and then got seperated when Amy took Coral to CCD and then ran some errends. The rest of the day was spent outside and in the pool. Amy wasn't feeling good, so she took a nap while Jordan and Ian did and Dan took one in between loads of laundry. Later, after Marie, Gramma and Danielle returned from dinner and the kids went to bed, we all watched "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" to get ready for Marie's wedding. It was funny and fun to watch... Amy gives it 1 "long wink". March 17, 2003 Happy St. Patty's Day!!! All the guests spent the day relaxing with Coral, who is on spring break but too young to go to Daytona Beach. After Dan, Amy, Jordan and Ian got home from work and daycare, we all ate dinner by candlelight because a storm knocked out the power for about an hour. FPL (our power company) got things fixed in time to get the kids to bed. March 18, 2003 Our guests slimmed down to just 2 when Marie and Danielle left to go back to a warmer Pittsburgh. Not much else going on...just getting ready for next week. March 19, 2003 After work and daycare, Gramma and Pap went out to dinner, while the Florida Remberts found some grub in the frig. Well, it looks like we are at war now, and because this is a peaceful site, all that is going to be said is God Bless our Troops and God Bless America! Let's hope this ends quickly and realitively painless! March 20, 2003 Not much going on today...just the start of March Madness! March 21, 2003 Today at work the crew of STS-113 and a member of the Expedition 5 crew of the ISS, came back to KSC to do a presentation, so Dan went to see it. It was a great presentation and a little emotional because it was the first since the Columbia tragedy. March 22, 2003 Amy, Jordan, and Gramma went to watch Coral at gymnastics, while Dan got ready for the big trip by doing laundry and packing all day. Pap laid some new carpet down in the back porch, which was only in the way for about 5-months. Amy and Coral spent all Amy's winnings before she won any at the mall. Later, Pap and Gramma went on a date, while Dan and Amy worked on getting Ian over a little digestion problem (if you know what I mean). March 23 31, 2003 Not much went on in FloridaDan left the kids in the hands of Amy, Gramma, and Pap and Amy left the kids in the hands of 2 Grammas and Pap, so all was good at the Bolton Bed and Breakfast.
