Released Flagburners so farSo far I've released four issues of The Flagburner (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7) and two of Decay of a Civilization. The word "int" in brackets after a band name means that the interview in question has been put on the internet (and that "int" is a link to it). Subtitled "Punk rawk as fuck". This one had interviews with Juggling Jugulars (int), Maniac Miracles (int), Charta 77 and The Flagburning Page. It also contained poems, texts by me, a short story about heroin and reviews. 40 pages. (Dedicated to Mumia Abu-Jamal, although that's not directly mentioned) This one had interviews with Good Riddance, Aurinkokerho, The Blubberheads (int), New Read Archives and Hiljaiset Levyt. Then there were poems, reviews and opinions/rants. 36 pages. Dedicated to Ernesto "Che" Guevara (I feel embarrased...). This one had interviews with Anti-Flag, Snap-Her, Valse Triste, Vicious Wankers, Hundred Million Martians, Oheisvasara and Esinahka-zine. Then there were short stories, rants, the truth about the "Black and Green Days '98", poems, an opinion-article on communism by a friend of me and reviews. 32 pages. Dedicated to Alfredo Ormando and everybody else who is oppressed because of his/her sexuality. This issue had interviews with Detestation, "Alakulttuurin Kusipäät", Positive/Negative, Kirous, Rajoitus, Bitistål and Virkavalta. Then there were opinions, rambling, an debate on communism (a sequel to the article in #3), an article about Mordechai Vanunu and reviews. 32 pages. Dedicated to Mordechai Vanunu and to the memory of Tim Yo of MRR. This issue had interviews with Kaurapuuro, Tuomipäivän Lapset (split up), No Way, Kansandemokratia, Fight Records, Osattomat and Wasted (int, eh), plus a reprint on Judi Bari and lots of reviews. 32 pages, out of which 10 were edited on a computer. This issue was dedicated to the memory of Ossi Vepsäläinen, guitar player of Kirous (split up).
This issue has interviews with Bitch (int), Diaspora, Oi Polloi, Manifesto Jukebox (int) and Scumbrigade. Articles on smoking, biotechnologies, feminism, Robert Capa... a reprint about the history/definiton of anarchism. Poems and reviews, as well. Dedicated to Björn Söderberg, who died in the struggle against fascism. IMPORTANT: Although this issue tells that I and Susan, my girlfriend, broke up, we got together again. I hope there won't be too many misunderstandings, eh?
This issue had interviews with Atrocious Madness (int), Diskonto, Selkkaus and War Machine (int). There are articles about my experiences of a Russian prison, climate changes and about WTO. A poem and some reviews as well. Dedicated to Emma Goldman, who has been a great source of inspiration for me, through her book "Living my Life".
Flagburner #8 This issue is still in the making, but will, however, at least have an interview with Riot/Clone. It will also have an article about John Heartfield and one about alternative energy sources.
