There are a variety of destination signs in the Metrobus fleet. There are several types. Here they are:
1000-1259 (RTS), 7001-7129, 8001-8087,9001-9094 (Flxible Metro): Trans-Dot, scrolls top to bottom.
9201-9205 (Flxible Metro): Trans-Dot, scrolls sideways.
9205-9215, 9301-9373, 9401-9430 (Flxible Metro); 4001-4040, 5001-5026 (American Ikarus articulated): Luminator, side scroll.
6001-6046 (Ford Startrans mini-bus) Trans-sign rollsign.
9701-9750, 9801-9820, 9901-9934 (?) (NABI) TwinVision LED side scroll.
The RTS' used an advanced form of roll-sign until about 1987, when they were outfitted with electronic signs.
The way I'll list them will be like this:
Destination #1 / Destination #2
Many routes list 2 destinations. The slash (/) is when the sign scrolls to the second destination display. Most signs display each destination for about 1 and a half seconds, except for the Twin Vision headsigns, which usually display each for about 5 seconds. Some destinations are small enough that the route number can also fit on the other end of the display, i.e. " 36 OMNI 36". This is usually only for the Trans-Dot signs, with a few exceptions that I'll mention
