A Modern Day Fairy Tale
Chapter 15 New Beginning

Lonely-Heart is starting over.  She has placed her Personals Ad on several online sites.  She has been getting responses from men of all types, but none that seem to have the attributes of a possible mate.  Some of them do not share her Faith.  The Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, so that is a definite Deal Breaker for her.  Lonely-Heart might compromise on traveling distance, or differences in age, but her Walk with God is too important to overlook.  She realizes that at this point, her Soul Mate might not even be looking for her.  He may never even see her personals ad.  If the right man ever comes along at the right time, she does want to be prepared though.  One thing that puzzles herwhy do men that obviously do not have anything in common with her continue to contact her?  What would she have to discuss with a twenty-four year old guy?  Or a man studying for his masters degree in Africa but hell be returning to the states soon?
Lonely-Heart has made contact with several new Chat Buddies.  They seem to be good men, and she is looking forward to getting to know them better.  Only time will tell if they will move beyond friendship.  She has also attempted several Ice-Breakers using her Personals Ad.  Only one response thus far and he rejected her because of the distance between their homelands.  She is puzzled by the fact that so many men say that they dont care about looks, but the negative responses she has gotten in the past belies that statement.  Lonely-Heart wonders when a man will look beyond the surface of her Plus-sized body and see all the great things she has to offer the right one.  She has noticed that she seems to be trying to make contact with men that have a certain Look.  She never knew before that she prefers Big Handsome Men.  Maybe thats where shes been going wrong in her past attempts.
The one man that Lonely-Heart really felt a connection with was
Single-Parent.  He is a Big Handsome Man.  Tall, dark hair, few extra pounds  The personal ads shes drawn to are similar to him.  All are tall, most have dark hair, and some are smiling in their photos.  She wonders if shell find another man like him.
One fact that may not have registered with our readers is thisLonely-Heart has never dated.  Sure, there were nights out with male friends, but none were ever considered dates.  She is afraid that owing to this lack of experience in her past, she isnt really ready for a relationship.  After all, what does she know about how men and woman are supposed to act when they are courting?  Does she accept the romantic words that men spout?  Or do all men just say what they think the woman wants to hear?
She believed the sweet words spoken by Single-Parent, and we see where that led her.  Oh, he never promised her a ring and vows, but the sentiment was there between them.  If only he would contact her again, maybe she could let go and move on.  He hasnt made any attempt to contact her since
The Disaster.  Lonely-Heart cannot abide the thought that she hurt him so badly that they arent able to even remain friends.
     Her friends and
Tribe keep telling her to give up on him, but she misses what she thought they had together, and she wonders if he ever thinks of her.  She wants a man to feel a Heart Bond with her, accepting everything about her.  She knows that she is impulsive, and often does things without thinking of the consequences, but thats who she is.
Lonely-Heart is feeling very sad these days, thinking that shell always be a Single, but she puts on her Brave Face and goes on about the business of living
