The last request for a meeting with Single-Parent met with total silence. Lonely-Heart received absolutely NO communication from him stating whether he would accept or refuse her invitation. The day has come and gone with nothing to show for it, not even a brand new tattoo. (Lonely-Heart does not believe in body modification of the tattoo or piercing sort, with the exception of earrings for herself.) But I digress�
Since it is apparent that Single-Parent wishes no further entanglement with her, Lonely-Heart has decided to start from scratch in her Quest for Love. She is wiser now and older since her last birthday, and she has resolved to follow her list of Tests for Possible Mates from beginning to end. One of the biggest Tests that any potential suitor absolutely must pass will be the Test of Communication. If they are not willing to discuss any and every problem that arises, she is not going to consider getting involved again. There must be open and honest rapport between people for relationships to grow as they should.
Coming to the conclusion of this portion of her mission, Lonely-Heart is saddened by the lost of Single-Parent from her life. The thought that after all the time that they spent talking and laughing, he could not forgive her and allow them to rebuild the trust between them, broke her heart in twain. The three weeks that they spent in the getting to know each other phase was wonderful, it was the ending that sucked a big ole ostrich egg.
Lonely-Heart has taken her Personals Ad off of the disabled list, and she is waiting to see if there are any positive responses. She has traded in her Rose-Colored Glasses for a pair that offers a clear view of life, with no shadows or trickery. She has learned a thing or two from all of this.
She still hopes that one day, a Good and Faithful man will come into her life that will treat her the way a Lady should be treated. Until that day arrives, Lonely-Heart will continue on as she always has. She will still be loving, kind and open to possibilities. She will still be fiercely loyal and protective of her Tribe and Friends. She will still be looking for the good in people and not become a bitter old maid. She will still be Praying and trying to live according to God�s will for her life, even if it means she will live a Single life. She will still be earning her own way in the world, working at a job she enjoys. She will still be taking care of her own vehicle maintenance, and slaying her own dragons. She will still be Hoping for Someone Special to share all of the joys and pains of her life with. She will still be wondering where her Soul-Mate is. But, one thing is certain�she will not give up on her dreams until she takes her final breath.
