Acrylic. An elaborate version of the mysterious planet in Alien, a swirling cloudscape obscuring the mysterious planet below.
THE NOSTROMO AIRLOCK.
Ink & felt tip pen. The airlock, showing its wide interlocking door, an emergency backpack stowed against the wall.
ASH'S BLISTER.
Pencil. A rendering of the observation blister on the underside of the Nostromo, the station of Science Officer Ash.
SURFACE SUIT.
Felt tip pen. For the crew of the earthship Leviathan (an early name for the Nostromo). Pre-production design for Alien.

Pencil. Problems of space and mechanical clearances were worked out in the observation blister.

Felt tip pen. A still camera, range finder, flashlight, thermal meter, and direction finder, all in one.Featured in the original screenplay but dropped.
