Martin has extensive experience as a jazz musician, beginning professionally at the age of twelve. James Morrison has had a major influence on Martin�s career as a teacher for seven years & in more recent times Martin has performed professionally in Morrison�s band. Leading other jazz ensembles & as the lead trombonist with Brass Machine, Martin has toured Australia & the world performing jazz. With the later group he has recorded with some of the finest jazz musicians including: Don Burrows, Chuck Findlay & George Golla. Martin�s life revolves around music being currently employed as a music teacher at Pittwater High School. Martin is also sought after as a orchestral and concert band conductor as well as an adjudicator & guest music clinician in both the jazz and classical fields.
Martin has performed with; Brass Machine, Blue Riff, John Morisson�s Swing City Big Band, James Morisson�s Band, Sydney Big Band,The Young Sydney Jazz Orchestra, as well as numerous small jazz ensembles.
Martin has directed: Blue Riff, Pittwater High Stage Band, Department of Education & Training Festival Big Bands as well as many work shop & special event jazz ensembles. Martin has also been active running various professional jazz ensembles including Marty and Gangsters & Blue Riff.
