Dan began playing the guitar at the age of ten. He gained an interest in jazz at sixteen, when he joined the Blue Riff Big Band.
Dan was selected to perform in �Encore� in 1998 - a concert that showcases the very best of the HSC student performances.
Dan is completing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music. Here he has studied under some of Australia's finest jazz musicians such as Steve Brien (Guitar), Craig Scott (Bass), & Judy Bailey (Piano).
Dan currently performs with several local jazz ensembles and leads the Dan Harders Trio, performing original compositions and jazz standards.
Dan also teaches guitar, music theory, composition & arranging skills. |
