Cameron completed an Associate Diploma in Jazz studies at the Conservatorium of Music in 2001 where he learned from local jazz musicians; Craig Scott, Paul MacNamara, Dave Goodman and Gordon Rytmeister. Prior to this, Cameron was formally tutored by jazz drummer and vibraphonist Mark Bowden.
Over the past 6 years Cameron has been performing around Sydney with a variety of local musicians including; Craig Scott, Ron Philpott and Glen Heinrich.
Cameron has been a member of the Sydney University Big Band and Jazz Connection, run by pianist Judy Bailey, and the locally based 3 piece pop band, Linocut. Currently a member of the funk band Shaft, Cameron continues to play for a variety of jazz groups around Sydney including Inflection and Fiveplayjazz.
Cameron also has a Degree in Engineering.
