Today, many members of Fishlakia rolled out of hibernation to bright sunshine and warmth. Inhabitants are prepared for a busy year, recent bids for the football world cup and the Olympics games have failed but the nation is optimistic for the year ahead. Zoe (from the stables) has been chosen to perform in this years 'Eurovision Song Contest', her song was voted best, narrowly beating Sleepy's heart warming ballad and Ro the Ho's raunchy song.
Bids are being prepared for all sorts of music and sporting events, funding for a new national stadium has almost been secured and the new year looks promising...

There will be an official chat with Lord Orang and Lady ELF coming soon. The date is yet to be confirmed but is expected to be on Friday 28th of November at 10pm GMT (5pm Eastern time). Don't forget to visit and make your views about Fishlakia (although it is a dictatorship so we can ignore you).
Police have arrested 'Jessica/Stoopid'. She has been charged with the murder of Sneezy.

Due to the bizarre electro-magnetic storm that struck Fishlakia and a small part of Norway, the Fishlakia website hasn't been updated for 7 months. However, experts inform us that the storm has passed for good now. Scientist say that they can't explain the phenomenon but there investigations are on-going.

Fishlakia currently has the highest population growth in the world, in one week the population has gone up 21%.... Experts believe that growth for the year will be around the 1000%, far higher than anywhere else in the world.

An email has been sent to the Olympics committee for more information on the 2012 games. Lord Orang and Lady Elf are currently holding talks with the government of Norway on a possible co-host bid.

Still no reply from FIFA, but surely the 2010 world cup bid will be accepted. There is currently talk of possibly hosting the Olympics (Winter or Summer). Two new people came to the island today, bringing the population to 15.

Today a bid was made for the 2010 World Cup. An email was sent to FIFA at approximately 20.40 asking for more information of Fishlakia's chances of hosting the 2010 football World Cup. We are currently waiting for a reply but we guarantee that as soon as we know so will you!
