Piraibas, Jaus and Pirararas

Among the species more coveted, the Piraibas – reaches more than 200 kilos – are the one that large exercise fascination between fishermen. Those who know the fame of these fishes only hearing narratives, or having read old good articles written about them, will find in this region a door type to the past, and will have the possibilities to prove the bravery and brutal force of these animals. 

Jaus are another heavy weight that, with the Pirarara, will tear lines and  open fishhooks. Examples loading around 60 kilos are found in great amount, being common for those that stay some days in the region, to hook several types of these species. In certain times of the year, especially when the river still maintains an amount of reasonable water, places as the Seven Falls Waterfall - that as the name suggests, it possesses seven jumps - Seating Dog, Barra of Apiacas and Waterfall of the Monkey, are simply certain. Their favorite baits are small fishes that can be gotten in the own place.
