Flower Horn fish has many fanciful names given to it but all in all it is a new hybrid strain originating from the cichlid... Some people refer to it as a 'Feng Shui' fish believing that it may bring good fortune to its owner. The Chinese call it Hua Luo Han. Note that the Chinese pronouncation sounds almost identical to its English name. |

We have many owners who claims that the black markings on the fish sometimes may resemble lucky numbers or Chinese characters. We have also seen one fish whose markings looked exactly like the Chinese word for prosperous. Try to guess how much somebody offered to buy the fish. One of the most important part of the fish is the hump on the head. The bigger and more colourful the hump the more the price of the fish will become. Body shape and colour is another important part in determining the price of the fish. |
