| If you are planning to seriously only raise Flower Horn fish, then it is best to keep them individually by 1 fish to 1 aquarium. However if you decide to breed them, then you can have a male and female Flower Horn in an aquarium. As for those of you who have community tanks, Flower Horns are best kept with larger cichlids like Oscars, Blood Parrots etc. These bigger fishes have identical behaviour and size to the Flower Horns and therefore can fend for themselves. Never ever mix Flower Horns together if your tank is only 3 or 4 feet in size and your Flower Horn is 10 to 15 inches in size. You will only end up with dead Flower Horns when they decide to attack one another. If your tank is 8 feet or more than it is quite alright. |
