E-Mail of the Week
I have received a few good e-mails since FireRollie.com
came online. So now, I have decided to create the E-Mail of the Week contest.
No prizes, just bragging rights. To enter, just send me and e-mail at
[email protected]
and say that you're writing to be a part of the contest. It's that simple!
E-mails may be edited for formatting purposes, though the content of the
message will stay intact.
For the Week of March 3, 2002
Business certainly picked up this week. I got a couple
of good e-mails from a few people, among them someone who cracked back
on HL Commish Jonathan LeCrone, another on Munch's column about my radio
interview. But the E-Mail of The Week this time around came from [email protected],
who laid down a nice slam on both Rollie and CSU Athletic Director John
Konstantinos. Hope you're reading, guys. I know you have some time on
your hands right now...

Bob, it's nice to know who you are and have the guts to let
it be known. I agree with you in terms of it's not important.
However, the only people that wanted to know has to be Rollie's
little helpers. For instance, GOCSU2546 works for Rollie and that's
probably why you can't find the individual. GOCSU2546 has not
wrote back with information pertaining to his last visit to the
NIT or NCAA! I guess they did their homework and discovered how
long the drought has been (I thought it was sixteen years).
In the meantime, plenty of updates needs to be address. First
of all, a couple of weeks ago, the Plain Dealer had an article
about Rollie with quotes from the president and the athletic director.
I know it's not in their best interest to come out and criticize
the basketball program but deep down inside those two are happy
with Rollie failures. I still can't believe that CSU signed Rollie
for an extension with a couple of games left in last years season.
That was the biggest mistake! Instead of telling him to make post
season and bring in some income to give back to the school for
investing all their resources they decided to throw away more
money. The new president needs to take a look at Rollie and ask
what the hell is going on? How do CSU put up with Rollie trips
around the world, because financially they have to be hurting?
What's worst is hosting the Horizon League Championship. Yes,
it was a wonderful idea because their 19 wins last year. However,
this year is a total bust, luckily UWGB lost before playing CSU.
Otherwise CSU would have been playing on Friday night, which would
have been pathetic. If that was the case, well should I say anymore
about Rollie and this year.
Hey Rollie, if any of your fans are tuning in, please make Cleveland
happy, CSU thrilled and season ticket holders feel better. CALL
IT QUITS! Stop thinking that something will change, stop thinking
that you are the only one that can make a difference because you
can't and won't. We all know that this season is a wash, it will
be SEVEN YEARS, SEVEN YEARS next year if you return and
you haven't done shit! Excuse my french but that is what the majority
of fans who attend the games says afterward. Except for your simplistic
friends who continue to inflate your big head, deep down inside
you have to know that it's over.
Fans of CSU, because Rollie will not be fired. I have a funny
feeling that he would like to be Athletic Director. John Konstantinos,
look out for your job because a venomous snake will bite. Since
CSU administration don't know any better it could happen because
they don't have the money to pay him off. Viewing Rollie from
the stands at the games does not leave me with the feeling that
he has any intention on giving back to the school that allowed
him to get his five hundred win and receive so much money for
a university with no football program. It's very difficult to
see any light at the end of the tunnel because you can say what
you want but I got news for you. "Next year is not going
to be any better." Losing two-fifth year seniors, leading
scorers and experience without backup leaves trouble. Don't let
Rollie fool you any longer he can't even put together three wins
this year. By the way, I wonder what his records show in comparison
to Mike Boyd? And they got rid of him!
