Oahu
The Zoo Island
Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, North Shore, Polynesian Cultural Center

This place is crazy!  What a lot of traffic and people.  We didn't help much, drving around in our minivan from one tourist attraction to the next.
Luckily we had the best tour guide around,  Cousin Father Ed Popish!
We visited quite a bit with Ed, and got to see Father Herman too.  Fortunately for us, Ed was to meet us in a quieter setting on kuai, so we could spend some quality time with him.  We stayed at Waikiki and Heather and Alan took surfing lessons.  They were going to try their newfound skills on the North Shore. . .but the summer waves were too small.
Louis prepares to throw a torpedo in the tube while the kids watch. Boy did the sailors get mad!
Heather on the deck of the USS missouri.
We spent a day at the cultural center learning how to live and dine the Hawian way at the biggest Luau on the islands. The coctails were huge!
Lillian said that she could easily cook for 500 people if all she had to do was throw a pig in a pit!
