After a good night's sleep (the floor isn't so bad after all), a nice bath, and a hot breakfast (not quite as good as Zuba's gruntnuggets, but still quite acceptable) you all feel refreshed. You leave the inn and head for the blademaker's shop.

You step inside and see that it's not only a blade shop. You find a remarkable selection of swords, knives, daggers; also bows, arrows, spears, clubs, darts, and also armor and equipment. You wish you had a little more money with you if the quest you're bound for is half as rough as it sounds, some more weapons and some armor would be useful.

You see a man polishing the blades on display in one corner, and ask him what you can get for the money you've got.

"For that?" the man asks, raising an eyebrow. He straps the sword back in the display case. "Come with me."

He leads you to the back of his shop, moves some boxes off of a shelf, and clears away some dust. Then he pulls a sword from the shelf. "You can have this. I'll sell it to you for 150."

"Is that even a sword?" you mutter under your breath. The thing is covered in dust and looks bent and rusty. "I can't save the world with that," you say aloud.

"Ah..." the man looks at you like you're a bit loony. "Oh, she may not be much to look at, but that's a perfectly good sword you've got there. Perhaps a little old, but that's part of her charm."

"Charm," you mutter again, then say aloud. "Well, I guess I don't have much choice. I'll take it."

"Wise decision," the blademaker nods. "You'll rarely find a blade this good for such a price. And as an added bonus, I'll throw in some armor for you. If you're going to save the world, you'll need to wear armor. With the sword, it'll just be 75 shrin more for the leather armor. 150 more for the steel. Enough for your whole party. What do you say?"

You gain 10 strength, 10 courage, and 10 luck points from the night's rest. You now have a sword. You lose 150 shrin.
