"We'll take the steel armor," you say.

The blademaker takes the three of you in the back and fits you for armor, then asks for the money for it. You hand him the purse and, with your sword and armor, leave the shop.

"Stop!" you suddenly hear the man's voice cry out. "Thieves! Somebody stop them! Don't let them leave! You think you can cheat me, do you?"

Embarrassed at being caught, you turn to face the blademaker.

"Do you know what the penalty is for stealing in this town?" he snarls.

You don't know, but suddenly you are very aware of the many, many, incredibly sharp blades in the room.

"It was an accident," Deke speaks up. "We, uh, we must have counted our shrin wrong."

The man still looks at you maliciously, but says, "All right. I'll let it go this time. Off with the armor, and I'm keeping this," he holds up the purse, "for my time that you've wasted. Now be gone with you, and don't you three ever show your faces in my store again!"

You do as he commands and trudge out of there, disappointed that your crime failed. At least you still have both your hands.

You lose all of your shrin.
