The Presleys (Revised Again)

Jensen, Oct 2003

After another long, painful labor that ended with a C-section due to delivery complications, our baby boy, Jensen Collins Presley was born on August 16, 2003 at 4:29 pm at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS. Jensen was strikingly similar to his older sister Ciera when she was born. He weighed a whopping 8 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 and 3/4 inches long!

Lending some very-needed support for my wife was her grandmother, Ms. Ella Mae Johnson, "Mama Vee" Presley, and my cousin Frederica Presley. We came home four days later and Jensen was visited by Uncle Wiley Johnson, Granddaddy Presley, and our nextdoor neighbors, the Greens. Thank you very much for your love and support!

Here we are together, The Presley Family plus another one!

A whole lot has changed since our last entry in 2001, besides our new baby boy. I am still working at Delta Wire Corporation as the QS-9000 Facilitator only (not the Lab Supervisor anymore). In September 2002 our company was certified to QS-9000 and we have maintained this certification since then. My wife Chelesa is now a stay-at-home mother, who doesn't stay at home! She volunteers her time to our community as a Sunday School Teacher for her church, McKinley Ave. Church of Christ, and this year she became the Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 4096, Heidelberg Elementary School. Our son Javon is in the Wolf Den of the pack. Ciera is a pre-schooler at St. George's Episcopal School.

In October 2001, we traded in the Olds Alero for the roomier Chrysler Concorde. Because of our new baby, we now need a long wheel-base minivan! I also traded my 1995 Firebird for a 1996 Firebird Formula in November 2003 (strictly for myself). One of these days I'm going to the drag strip (I'm going through a mid-life crisis at 31 years of age). Of course there were the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the loss of Space Shuttle Columbia on February 1, 2003, and the War in Iraq.
