These individuals forecasts budgets, prepare the reportings, control the cash and make sure the firm is in good financial shape. The following positions are the most frequent and determinant in most of today's companies. Financial planner and analyst He determines the financing needs of the company, prepares short and long-term financial planning and budgeting, analyzes potential corporate restructuring and deals with pricing of the firms securities. The job requires general financial knowledge and high analytical skills. Cash manager Manages the firm�s cash, takes the right decisions based on the firm�s daily needs in cash and invests the surpluses. The cash manager should be a good negotiator. Credit manager He manages the firm�s credits and receivables. The position requires the knowledge of customers and accounting statements. Controller Also known as the Comptroller, he is the top managerial and financial accountant and leads the accounting department. He is responsible for delivering accurate and reliable financial reports, audits the firm�s accounts and assists the management team in interpreting and using the managerial accounting information. The position requires a mastery of accounting, a taste for numbers and details and very good communication and leadership skills. Chief Financial Officer Also known as the finance director, the CFO manages, administrates and oversees the financial department of a firm. He reports directly to the CEO (the Chief executive director). The position requires a strong experience in finance and accounting as well as very good communication and leadership skills.
