| Come in, TK said. Kari walked in to find TK all dressed and just sitting there, staring out the window. Hi Kari, TK said, taking his eyes away from the window and smiling at her. Hi TK. Ready to go? Kari asked, smiling sweetly back at him. TK nodded and got up. Together they walked to watch a movie. During the movie, TK looked over to Kari. She looked scared. They were watching a scary movie. At one time, Kari grabbed TKs hand. TK enjoyed it and Kari looked like she isnt gonna let go. After the movie, they were holding hands. Kari? TK asked. Hmm? Kari replied. They arrived at the cross between their houses. Kari, weve been best friends since we were young, TK said, looking at Kari. Kari looked back, a smile on her face. Kari I love you, TK said, leaning in to kiss her, but Kari turned away. TK, I love you, Kari started. But? TK asked his eyes filled with hurt. Im sorry, Kari whispered. TK looked down. His eyes brimmed with tears. Kari, on the other hand, has tears streaming down her face. I hope we can still be friends, Kari whispered. TK kept his head down. When he was sure there was no more tears, he looked up. There was nothing in front of him. In the distance, he can make out Kari running. Kari went home and rushed to her bedroom and locked the door, for she doesnt want anyone to asked her anything. She threw herself on the bed and cried into her pillow. Kari, whats wrong? Tai asked through her door. Nothing, Kari answered back, muffled by the pillow. Oh yeah? If its nothing, then why are you crying? Tai asked. Just leave me alone, Kari mumbled. Kari then heard Tais footstep fading away. Kari thought about just what happened. Maybe talking it out will help. Kari opened the door and ran out. Tai? Kari called out into the house. Tai came up to her. Kari then burst into tears. Tai opened his arms and embraced her. Kari welcomed the embrace. You need to talk about it? Tai asked. Kari nodded. Kari told Tai everything. But Kari tailed off. But what? Tai asked. I dont feel good. I mean, I thought that after I said that, I would feel that the weight would lift off my shoulder. You know? Kari said, looking at her brother. Tai looked like hes deep in thought. Maybe Maybe you still like him, Tai said slowly. Nah! Do you think? Hmm Maybe, Kari said thoughtfully. Think about that, Tai said, walking out the door, leaving Kari to her thoughts. After Tai went to bed, Kari still laid in bed, thinking. Ring-ring. Kari answered the phone. Hello, Kari said to the phone. Kari? Hi this is TK, The voice on the other end replied. Hi TK, Kari replied. Do you wanna do something? TK asked. Sure, Kari replied. Kari hung up the phone. Tai, Im going to go out with TK, Kari yelled as she pulled on her jacket and shoes. Ok. Come back soon, Tai replied, as he came into view to see her off. Kari walked to TKs house. Matt opened the door and greeted her warmly. She did so to him as well then Matt directed her to TKs room. Kari thanked him and went to TKs room. Hi TK, Kari said. TK greeted her and they walked out. When it was close to dark, they went to the cliff overlooking the ocean and just watched the sun go down. Kari sensed that something was wrong. TK, is there something you need to say? Kari asked. TK turned to look at Kari. TK sighed. Kari there is something I have to tell you. Kari Im moving to America TK walked to the airport. Everyone was there to see him off. Take care of yourself, Tai said to TK as he prepared to leave. TK nodded and continued on. Ill miss you, Matt said, hugging his little brother. TK hugged back and continue on. TK looked around for Kari. He would never forgive himself if he didnt say goodbye to her. He saw her, giving a sad smile to him. TK and Kari embraced and then TK was on his way. Two year had passed after TK moved away. Kari regretted not telling him she loved him every single day of her life. Her birthday was coming up soon. She was gonna be sixteen. She liked nothing else except TK to come back for her birthday. Happy birthday, Kari, Tai said when Kari came into the room. Tai had woken up earlier for her birthday. Kari gasped when she saw her breakfast on the table. Thanks, Tai, Kari said, hugging him. No problem, Tai said, hugging her back. Ring-ring. The phone rang as Kari sat down to breakfast. Hello? Tai asked into the mouthpiece. Kari, its for you, Tai said, handing her the phone. Hello? Kari asked. Hi, Kari. Its TK, the voice on the other line said. TK?! Oh my god! How are you? Kari asked him excitedly, forgetting about breakfast. Im fine. For your birthday, Im coming home, TK said. Great! I missed you, Kari told him. I missed you too, TK replied. TK and Kari talked about what happened to each other. Kari finally hung up the phone. Realizing how hungry she was, she sat down to breakfast. So, hows TK, Tai asked Kari. Hes fine. Guess what? TKs coming back for my birthday! Kari said, not waiting for an answer. Kari and Tai walked to the living room. Should I still guess? Tai asked, a big grin on his face. Kari laughed and threw pillows at her brother. Tai laughed and got refuge in his room. Kari smiled and went to her room. |

| Hi! Im so glad you can come, Kari said, hugging Mimi. How can I miss your birthday party? Mimi asked Kari. Kari smiled and went to her brother. Thanks Tai, Kari said hugging her brother. No problem, Tai said hugging her back. Kari knew how hard it is for Tai to be here. Matt and Sora is also here. A few years back, Tai was rejected by Sora because she liked Matt. Even though Tai says hes fine, Kari knew better. Every time Tai saw Matt and Sora together, Kari could see her brothers soul die a little. Then he would put on a fake act, acting all happy. Kari let go of her brother and went to talk to her friends. In the corner of her eyes, she could see Tai acting all happy, greeting Matt and Sora. Inside, Kari cant wait for TK to come. Ring-ring. The phone rang and Kari picked it up |
