Anti-Badware

Is your computer still too slow?
Well, there are a couple of reasons as to why this could be:

  1. Your computer has a virus, or adware, or spyware, or malware somwhere in its interior that is slowing it down;
  2. your computer has not been updated with the current updates for Windows, and its accessories.
There are a couple of things to do to solve these problems:
  1. You can download Ad-Aware SE Personal from here. This is a free spyware/adware/malware removal program that is very efficient and very effective, in my opinion. I use it myself. Once it's done downloading, run it and have it prform a full syste scan. When it's done, right-click on all objects it finds, and select "Select all objects" and then click next and OK in the box that appears. There are also other scanning systems out there, such as:
    • McAfee (costs $$)
    • Norton Antivirus (I have it in spanish but I've never done anything with it, and am pretty sure it costs $$ unless you have a very nice friend who owns it of course)
    • F-Prot Antivirus - OnDemand Scanner (don't know about any fees)
    • And others, just search google, or go to download.com
  2. You may also go to the Start menu on your computer, then All Programs (Windows XP) or Programs (earlier version(s)), and click on Windows Update.
    • Now, follow the on-screen instructions and, depending on how long you've had your computer, and how long it's been since it's been updated, it may take a long time to do this, so I suggest right before you go to bed and give it over night. Works for me!
