| The Missing Cars | |||||||
| There are bound to be more cars out there, most of the Mk2 cars had been kept well hidden away until this site was built and they came out of the woodwork so to speak. It was in fact thought the Fiesta Fly was exclusive to the Mk1 but there are now at least three Mk2's that can safely be said to have been built by F.English to the same design as the Mk1 Crayford/F.English cars. I know as fact that there was a Supersport Fly built as I saw it at Ford Fair in 1999 but I neglected to take any pictures of it. It was sunburst red and apparently the only Supersport converted. Another mk1, MGF 381Y was mentioned in the Classic Ford feature. It was green and based on a Popular . Another story reckons there was a run of around eight cars built with similar registrations. RMH 610Y and RMH 612Y are on this site and I once heard about another registered RMH 633Y but I have no information on that car. Then theres the Mk1 Sport featured in the Fly brochure.I don't think it and B654 PNA are one and the same so there's another elusive one. If anyone knows of any Fiesta convertibles registered in Great Britain that are not featured on this site I'll be only too glad to hear about them. I can be emailed at [email protected] |

| Update October 20th 2005 | |||||||
| I did some checking on the RAC and DVLA websites about the RMH cars and found RMH 624Y and RMH 642Y are registered as convertibles. The full story can be read here. Also, the above mentioned Supersport Fly still exists, contrary to sketchy information I'd received about it having been scrapped. PUF 282X will feature on here soon. |
