This particular Fiesta Fly is a real oddball. The car came up for sale on Ebay in February 2004 but this wasn't the first time I have encountered the car. I first saw it at FordFair in the mid 1990's and was more amazed by its registration number. It's the only B reg Mk1 Fiesta I've ever seen.... |

....it's also the only beige 1300 Sport I've ever seen. It might also be the only Sport converted but I can't be sure on that fact. I'm pretty certain the car wasn't fitted with the XR2 bodykit, headlights and 13" RS alloy wheels at FordFair. |

The car was being auctioned on Ebay, which is where I got these photo's. With 22 hours left to run it had been bid to 360,but the seller who was from Nuneaton in Warwickshire already had a higher offer from a private ad placed elsewhere. The car never reappeared on Ebay so I assume it got sold. |

This car also came with a couple of dubious items. A mk2 XR2 rear bumper and a towbar. Anyone who has studied the towbar fixings on a mk1 or 2 Fiesta will realise its just the boot floor, no chassis legs etc to take the load, so even a standard tin top model isn't ideal as a towcar, let alone a convertible! |
