| Crabgrass ducked, blocked and backed away. Crabgrass kept smiling as she retreated. All control, all restrant was gone. Heather was mindless as the rage drove her on. She lunged as she swung, Crabgrass jumped back, but not far enough. The blade sliced across her stomache. Crabgrass snarled backing off. She cursed the loss of her arm as the sap poured from the wound unchecked. This was no longer fun for Crabgrass. She was bleeding all over the place and she hadn't even scratched Heather yet. Crabgrass charged Heather, snarling. There blades meet. Crabgrass twisted her arm. She watched happyly as EarthFire spun out of Heather's hand. It flew across the roof and off the edge. Her happyness was short lived as Heather landed a kick to her good arm. Her own sword sliped from her grasp, falling threw one of the holes is the the roof. Crabgrass turned back towards Heather just in time to see her fist land on her jaw. Crabgrass stagered back. She howled like a wounded animal and charged. Heather ducked under her fist and in one fluid motion, grabed SinWagon from her boot and stabbed Crabgrass in the chest. Crabgrass stared at Heather, wide-eyed. Heather tryed to step away but Crabgrass's hand shot out, grabing her by the throat. Heather grabed at the hand as Crabgrass saged to her knees, but it wouldn't budge. Unbelieveing, Heather felt it tighten as Crabgrass gasped. Heather begain gasping for air, the hand tightened. Her knees buckled, she clawed at the hand. Crabgrass's eyes glazed over as Heather felt concousness slip away. ***** VisionAri skimmed the tree tops, raceing after Heather. She circled the ruins, looking for any sign of her. She spotted them on the roof and landed a few feet away. Crabgrass was laying on her back, her eyes wide and unseeing, SinWagon sticking out of her chest. Heather was beside her, laying on her side. VA knelt down next to Heather, rolling her over. Her eyes were closed, her face blank. VA shook her shoulder, "Heather? Are you OK?" Heather's eyes snaped open. VA gasped as Heather's hand shot up, grabbing her by the throat. Heather fasened her gaze on VA and grined. VA watched in horror as a splash of white blossomed on Heather's face, spreading over it. "WE are just fine." her voice was harsh, raspy, "Thanks for asking." She started laughing, harshyly and struck VA across the head. Her last conscious thought was, "the Blight?!?!" |

| Fields of Heather stood at the edge of the roof. Below, the combined forces of APEC and ORAL aproched the ruins. She chuckled. Turning away she walked over to Crabgrass's corpse. Bending down she pulled SinWagon from Crabgrass, wiped it off and slipped it back in her boot. She then turned to Visionari, lifted her and slung her over her shoulder. Heather chuckled again, walked over to one of the holes in the roof and jumped. She landed in a large room, the floor covered with debree. She dropped VA on the ground. "Now you stay here," she said giggling at VA, "WE'll be back in a few." With that she ran threw a doorway, laughing. They split up, into groups of two and three, searching the ruins. Heather stiffled a giggle as she clung to the celing as NecK and Zebeep passed under her, never seeing her. Once they disapeared around a corner, Heather dropped down. Landing silently, she took off down another hall, searching. The Blight had choosen Heather as it's new host for more then just her healthy body. She had something else that would be invaluable. She had a Kai clone. Inside, Heather faught the Blight, horrafied at what it planned to do to her preasous Kai13. But it was too strong, overpowering her, pushing her conscousness back, untill she was powerless to stop it. Heather grined, spotting Kai13. He was searching with Kai10, VA's clone. They were slowly making their ways towards her spot. Heather wondered just how to get Kai13 away from Kai10. They were just outside the room she had ducked into. Kai10 solved the problem for her when she heard him say, "You check that room, I'll check this one." Heather backed farther into the darkness, wondering which one would come in. Kai13 stepped threw the doorway, a torch in hand. Heather started to smile, but stopped. Instead her face became a mask of fear, she started trembling, she even squezed out a few tears. "Kai?" she said barely above a whisper. Kai13 turned around. Spotting Heather cowering in the corner, he rushed towards her, dropping the torch. "Heather!!"said Kai13. Heather jumped up, running into his arms. "Oh Kai, thank the stars, it's you." she trembled agenst him, tears flowing down her checks. Kai13 smiled, holding her close. He turned to call Kai10. "No Kai don't." said Heather. Kai13 turned back and looked at her. "Why? They will be so relieved your ok." said Kai13. "No Kai, you can't let them find me, they'll hurt me. We have to get out of here, now!" said Heather, pulling Kai13 towards another door, away from the one he had come in. "Hurt you?? They wouldn't." said Kai13 confused. "Yes they will. Please Kai we have to leave. I'll explain later." said Heather, tears running down her face. "But.." |
