Dizon, Former President, Labrador Retriever Club, Philippines Ang Panukalang Pamantayan Ng Labrador Retriever Ng PIlipinas General Appearance: Strongly built, short-coupled, very active; broad in skull; broad and deep through chest and ribs; broad and strong over loins and hindquarters. Pangkalahatang Anyo: Matipuno ang pangangatawan, short-coupled, napaka-sigla; malapad ang bao ng ulo; malapad at malalim mula dibdib hanggang tadyang; malapad at matatag sa gawing lomo at dakong likuran. Characteristics: Good-tempered, very agile. Excellent nose, soft mouth; keen love of water. Adaptable devoted companion. Mga Katangian: Mabait ang pag-uugali, napaka-liksi. Napaka-galing ng pang-amoy, Malambot ang kagat; Matindi ang pagka-hilig sa tubig. Madaling iangkop at mapagmahal na kasama. Temperament: Intelligent, keen and biddable, with a strong will to please. Kindly nature, with no trace of aggression or undue shyness. Pag-uugali: Matalino, masigasig at mapag-anyaya. Likas na mabait na may masidhing pagnanais na makapagbigay-saya, walang palatandaan ng pananalakay o labis na pagka-mahiyain. Head and Skull: Skull broad with defined stop; clean-cut without fleshy cheeks. Jaws of medium length, powerful not snipy. Nose wide, nostrils well developed. Ulo at Bungo: Malapad ang bao ng ulo na may takdang stop; malinis tignan at hindi malaman o mataba ang pisngi. Katamtaman and haba ng panga, matatag at hindi matulis. Malaki ang ilong at buong-buo ang mga butas nito. Eyes: Medium size, expressing intelligence and good temper, brown or hazel. Mga Mata: Katamtamang sukat, nagpapa-hiwatig ng pagka-matalino at mabait na pag-uugali, kulay-brown o hazel. Ears: Not large or heavy, hanging close to head and set rather far back. Mga Tainga: Hindi kalakihan o namimigat, naka-lawit malapit sa ulo at naka-lapat nang may kalayuan dito. Mouth: Jaws and teeth strong with a perfect, regular and complete scissor bite, i.e. upper teeth closely overlapping lower teeth and set square to the jaws. Bibig: Ang mga panga at ngipin ay malakas na may lubos, maayos at hustong lapat-gunting na kagat, i.e. Ang mga ngipin sa itaas ay mahigpit ang pagkakasanib sa mga ngipin sa ibaba at naka-lapat ng maayos at naka-ayon sa mga panga. Neck: Clean, strong, powerful, set into well placed shoulders. Leeg: Malinis, matipuno, makisig, naka-lapat sa mga balikat na maayos ang pagkakalagay. Forequarters: Shoulders long and sloping. Forelegs well boned and straight from elbow to ground when viewed from either front or side. Harapan: Ang mga balikat ay mahaba at palusong. Ang mga paa sa harap ay may mainam na buto at tuwid mula siko pababa sa lupa kapag pinagmasdan mula sa harap man o sa tagiliran. Body: Chest of good width and depth, with well sprung barrel ribs. Level top line. Loins wide, short-coupled and strong. Katawan: Ang dibdib ay may hustong lapad at lalim, na may sapat na igkas-bariles ang mga tadyang. Pantay ang ibabaw ng likod. Malapad ang lomo, short-coupled malakas at matipuno. Hindquarters: Well developed, not sloping to tail; well turned stifle. Hocks well let down, cow hocks highly undesirable. Likuran: Buong-buo, hindi palusong patungo sa buntot; husto ang baling ng tuhod. Tama ang pagkababa ng mga paa, hindi kanais-nais ang mga paang katulad ng sa baka. Feet: Round, compact; well arched toes and well developed pads. Mga Paa: Bilugin, siksik; tama ang mga bubong ng paa at buong-buo ang mga talampakan. Tail: Distinctive feature, very thick towards base, gradually tapering towards tip, medium length, free from feathering, but clothed thickly all round with short, thick, dense coat, thus giving 'rounded' appearance described as 'Otter' tail. May be carried gaily but should not curl over back. Buntot: Naiibang katangian, lubhang makapal sa gawing puno, unti-unting papatulis papunta sa dulo, katamtaman ang haba, walang feathering, at nababalot palibot ng maikli, makapal at masinsin na balahibo, na nagbibigay ng bilugang hugis na tinaguriang buntot "Otter". Maaring dalhin ng may kataasan ngunit hindi dapat bumaluktot sa itaas ng likod. Gait/Movement: Free, covering adequate ground; straight and true in front and rear. Lakad/Galaw: Malaya, Bumabagtas ng sapat na lupa sa pag-hakbang; tuwid at tama sa harap at likod. Coat: Distinctive feature, short-dense without wave or feathering, giving fairly hard feel to the touch; weather-resistant undercoat. Balahibo: Naiibang katangian, maikli at masinsin, walang pagkakakulot o feathering, magaspang sa salat o hipo; palaban sa panahon ang pang-ilalim na himulmol. Colour: Wholly black, yellow or liver/chocolate. Yellows range from light cream to red fox. Small white spot on chest permissible. Kulay: Purong itim, dilaw o tsokolate. Ang mga dilaw ay mula kulay-gatas hanggang kulay-fox red. Pinapayagan ang maliit na puting batik sa dibdib. Size: Ideal height at withers; dogs 56-57 cms (22-22 1/2ins); bitches 54-56 cms (21 1/2ins). Sukat: Tamang taas hanggang sa ibabaw ng balikat: lalaki 56-57 sentimetro (22-22 1/1 pulgada); babae 54-56 sentimetro (21 1/2 pulgada). Faults: Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree. Kapintasan: Ang anumang pagkakaiba sa mga puntong naunang nabanggit ay dapat ituring na kapintasan at ang kabigatan ng kapintasan ay nararapat isaalang-alang ayon sa wastong katumbas na antas ng pagkalala nito.
