Andinet Party Dec06

Zaterdag 16 december was het weer feest van Andinet International School.  Volgens de inmiddels vertrouwde formule mochten alle klassen (en dat zijn er nogal wat) een stukje opvoeren, sommige klassen zelfs meer dan 1.  Het programma begon om 9 uur en om 11 uur konden onze mannekes het niet meer uithouden.  Vooral voor Yekuno was het een lange zit.  Dus we misten het afsluitende buffet met hapjes en drankjes van de hele wereld. On Saturday 16 December there was another party of Andinet International School.  According to the standard formula, all classes (and there are many) performed one or two acts.  The program started at 9 am and at 11 our guys thought it was enough.  Especially for Yekuno it was very long.  So we missed the closing buffet with food and drinks from around the world.

Saman: 4 jaar/ years,  Yekuno: 2 jaar/ years

Yekuno moest zijn traditionele pakje aan en alle jongetjes van de peuterklassen kregen gekleurde stokken om mee op de grond te stampen in de maat van Oromiffa muziek. Het was een heerlijke chaos! Yekuno had to wear this type of traditional clothes and all nursery boys were given colorful sticks to bump on the floor to the sounds of Oromiffa music. It was a nice chaos!

Zo zag het grote podium eruit: prachtig versierd met ballonnen, een doek van de school en fraaie tekeningen van de verschillende feesten die internationaal gezien in deze tijd van het jaar spelen, zoals kerst, hanukah, eid, chinees nieuwjaar, ethiopisch kerstfeest enz.  De zaal zat afgeladen vol en het was soms moeilijk om je eigen kind te zien door de vele ouders met cameras in het gangpad.  Saman's klas deed eerst een liedje met gebaren op een rij en daarna was het tijd voor een echte wals op een liedje uit Disney's 'the Beauty and the Beast' (ofzo). This is what the big stage looked like: nicely decorated with ballons, a banner of the school and colorful drawings of the various international celebrations in this time of year, such as christmas, hanukah, eid, chinese new year, ethiopian christmas etc.  The hall was packed and sometimes it was hard to see your own child with the many parents standing in the aisles with their cameras.  Saman's class first did a song with gestures, standing in line, and then it was time for ballroom dancing with a waltze from Disney's 'the Beauty and the Beast' (or something like it).  Miss Deborah coaching.

Saman was als gewoonlijk erg geconcentreerd en danste de sterren van de hemel, ondanks zijn minder enthousiaste partner. Saman was very concentrated, as usual, and danced the morning away, despite his less enthusiastic partner.).
