Saman wordt / turns 4 !!

Saman's verjaardag vierden op de dag zelf, zaterdag 29 juli.  Sommige fotos zijn gemaakt door Paul, bedankt! We celebrated Saman's birthday on the day itself, Saturday 29 July.  Some of the pictures were made by Paul Houtman, thanks!

Saman: 4 jaar/years!  Yekuno: 1 jaar/year + 11 m

Hoera!!  Saman heeft zijn mooiste (Ethiopische) shirt uitgekozen en probeert 4 kaarsjes uit te blazen.   Harm kijkt toe en Yekuno zit lekker bij Omi op schoot.  Iedereen juicht: vlnr Linde, Xanthe, Marianne, Opa en Marleen. Hurrrrray!  Saman has selected his best (Ethiopian) shirt and tries to blow out 4 candles.  Harm is looking on and Yekuno sits on Omi's lap.  Everybody cheers, from left to right: Linde, Xanthe, Marianne, Granddad and Marleen.

Hier zien we ook nog Rik (links, blauw streepjesshirt), Carla (midden, groen truitje) en Merel (rechts, roze hoofddoekje). Here we can also see Rik (leftm striped shirt), Carla (cnter, green top), and Mereld (right, pink head scarf).

Om de 1 of andere reden vindt de familie Houtman het nodig om onze kinderen steeds maar weer de tong te laten uitsteken... For some unknown reason the Houtman family seems to find it necessary to have our children stick out their tongues...

Tussendoor vermaken de jongens zich uitstekend in de speeltuin van het park met het bezoek of andere kinderen. Throughout the day the boys have a good time at the playground of  the park with visiting or 'local'' children.

Yekuno is de jongste van alle rondrennende kinderen en komt, naarmate de dag vordert, steeds vaker even bijtanken op schoot. Yekuno is the youngest of the bunch and needs to regain his strength on our laps more and more as the day progresses.
