Two articles caught my attention today one was about the extinction of the dinosaurs. It was the day from Hell that wiped them out the article theorized. The other article postulated that genetic weapons that target individual human populations are possible to create. For instance a weapon that would only target Chinese.
I am wondering if there is a connection between these two articles. Could a virus that targeted their DNA have wiped out the dinosaurs? First off I have a problem with the Day from Hell scenario. It only wipes out the big creatures on land but what about the big creatures in the sea? Wouldnt they have been unaffected by the cataclysm?  Wouldnt the sea dinosaurs have survived longer than their land borne cousins? I think this is a wrong explanation. I think what happened is that a virus targeted the dinosaurs. It wiped out any and all creatures coded for this DNA structure. If I am right dinosaurs will share some common DNA trait.
Also, this brings into question the idea that a virus is either alive or not alive. I dont think that is the question. I think that in order for the mammals to come and flourish the dinosaurs had to go. I think the agent of change was a virus. I think viruses are weapons that species employ to wipe out other species. I think such a virus wiped out dinosaurs. Furthermore I believe that viruss are connected to and employed by species even to this day. They are the mobile agents of species in an unending battle for domination.
If I were right there will be viruses that are human friendly or neutral at least and others that are deadly to life forms that would otherwise kill us. I believe that viruses are employed on the part of human beings to this day as an agent of protection and conversely we are attacked by various life forms that are trying to replace us constantly. I believe that our bodies are but cells that have decided to work together for their mutual defense but continue to employ viruses in their mutual protection. The mechanism for launching viral attacks I am not sure of.  If could be something as simple as the shedding of skin; and the resultant breakdown into its proto-chemical constituents. Part of this breakdown would involve the destruction of the DNA molecule and the unraveling of the spiral. Pieces of the strand would enter the atmosphere and float around. I am not sure this is correct but I want to look into it and see what evidence exists for this hypothesis. If this hypothesis were correct the destruction of skin would lead to the spontaneous creation of viral forms. This is an experiment that must be conducted.                                           October 27, 2004 Sam Horowitz
