Prologue: Eternal Calm's End

280 years after the events in FFX, the world was seemingly normal. Spira hardly changed, save for more machina usage. Though, turmoil was rising among the inhabitants. New Yevon eventually gained more power, resulting in the The Youth League disbanding, and in it's place was the newly formed League of Allies. The two factions fought for over 5 years. But upon reaching a 6 year mark in this war, a devastating event occured that shocked and shook Spira like never before. During a war in the partially rebuilt Zanarkand, the tides began to roar, and emerging from the raging sea, a gigantic monster, bearing a hard carapace with some metallic shine, rose from the sea. The warriors stopped, and just turned to stare in awe. The creature was gigantic... Out of no where, a voice screamed out a word...a name of a creature many people thought was a myth now...Sin... As the people heard this, they quickly dropped their weapons and ran. But they couldn't escape, the creature reared back it's head, and released a large shockwave, ravaging all of the area. After it destroyed the warriors and half of the rebuilt area of Zanarkand, it turned, and submerged back into the sea.

10 years passed since the incidient, and many people came flooding back to New Yevon. New Yevon's power quickly grew, and evnetually, spira was under their grasp, much like it was 290 years ago. New Yevon changed their name to The Yevon Regime, and began to reteach Yevon's way to the people. Many temples where constructed, but the Yevonites had one problem...no Fayth. The Maesters of Yevon mysteriously found new Fayth one year later, placing them in temples around Spira. Once again, summoners have begun to re-appear. Machina is now banned in every city, except for those controlled by the Leage of Allies. Pilgrimages have begun anew, and people are hoping for another Calm, once again. The people are still unsure of how this new "Sin" appeared in the world. Is it punishment for disobeying the teachings again? Is it even Sin? Did Lady Yuna's actions merely delay it's rebirth? Or is there a greater being behind all this?
