The Inconveniences
In spite of the mentioned advantages, the aerial spraying produces some inconveniences.
The Wind
Unquestionably, the WIND is the more important of inconveniences.
Currently, for a correct application, the wind must not exceed 5 km/hour, otherwise this one breeds the following inconveniences:
- the lack of precision
(does not allow a located application)
- the repeated applications to the same place
  (overlapping of flight lines)
- the lack of control of the zone to be treated
- the drift and dispersal of products
- leaves a weak deposit on the site
- the wasting of the products
- the financial losses
- the contamination of surrounding cultures
- the contamination of surroundings riparian and neighbouring populations
- the pollution of streams and water tables
- the destruction of biodiversity
- the harmful consequences on environment and health
It is possible to minimize the drift of the products by selecting the conditions of operations. However, the dependence on the weather conditions can entail delay in the applications. Still, in Agriculture and Forestry, the period of intervention for the curative and preventive treatments is restricted.
Thus, the factor "time" is determining.
The Safety
The agricultural spraying by helicopter represents around half of the aerial works accidents.
- 51%: Collision with electric power lines or cables
- 12%: Collision with the ground or others obstacles
- 17%: Mechanical problems
- 17%: Loss control
-   3%: Others (mass of the helicopter at the time of
            the upsetting, aerial spreading booms,
            the warmth, etc.)
The reasons
- Work with very low heights (up to 1meter above the vegetation)
- Work carried out permanently near the ground and the obstacles
- Work with low speeds
- Lost motion at the time of the phase of the turning over
- Agriculture
- Forestry
- Phytoprotection
- Hydraulic Seeding
- Fight Forest Fires
- Fight Urban and Industrial Fires
- Fires following Natural Disaster
- Fight against Insects
- Fight against Virus
- Depollution
- Decontamination
SECTORS of INTERVENTION
