In this study, I plan to survey and analyze my students' calculator skills and misconceptions. I hope
to discover which necessary or useful skills they do or do not have, as well as their ideas about when
a calculator would be help or hindrance. With this information, I should be able to teach the students
how to use (or how not to use) their calculators more effectively and efficiently, and then
determine if they subsequently perform better in exemplary exercises.
