Adult anxieties can have their roots in the losses -- Rejections, betrayal, humiliation,neglect,and terror--of childhood.The loving, innocent heart of a child has little protection other than to sup- press fear,shame,and pain in the deep recesses of the psyche. Sigmund F. described the repetition compulsion:"Whatever was experienced as traumatic,deficient,or incomplete in your childhood,there is a tendency to recreate.When a child feels deeply intimidated, hurt,or rejected,this may begin a lifetime struggle with anxiety. Whatever your age,to become a fulfilled person and be at peace,you must resolve the issues that derived from your relationships with your parents. Below are some warning signs that unhealed emotional wounds from childhood may be contributing to your adult anxieties:
1-You create an arm's-length-only intimacy for fear of being
trapped in a committed love relationship or marriage.
2- Finding yourself experiencing the same money or health
fears a parent had.
3-You feel left out ,overlooked,unappreciated,or taken for granted at home or at work.
4-You suffer from fears of rejection,disapproval,or abandonment.The list goes on and on...
Although there may be an innate tendency to repeat yourchildhood dramas,you can also work through them.What you need is an understanding of how your upbringing affected you,what negative attitudes you may have internalized,and how to change these outdated emotional habits.For rapid healing you need to seek professional help in all four aspect of self -- Physical,emotional,intellectual,and spiritual.Please bear in mind
