We're continuing to work on Reading and Writing Strategies, including the use of graphic organizers (web) and the Jane Shaffer Paragraph (TS, CD, SS, CD, SS, CD, SS, TC).
Weekly Homework (due Wed, Aug. 31):
1. Spelling: 10 times each. Bonus activities (word art, sentences, stories, WOW, etc.) available!
Grade 5: seize, ceiling, deceive, leisure, neither
Grade 6: field, niece, grief, shield, yield, receipt
Grade 7: parallel, harass, graffiti, necessary, commitment
Grade 8: beneficial, efficient, spacious, congestion, capture
2. Vocabulary (WOW): advocate

3. Reading Logs: 60 minutes per week
Weekly Meditation (due Wed., August 31):
(1) Copy the song/ scripture into meditation journal
(2) Meditate on the song/ scripture, and write what it means to you
(3) Illustrate
