1. Students received a Policies, Procedures and Expectations Handout. *Corrections: Homework assigned and due every Wednesday.
2. Students participated in Fire Safety Evacuation.
3. Students' first quiz Wednesday 8/10/05. *Note: Quizzes every Wednesday.
4. Writing sample: Last Summer, This Year, and The Future
5. Students created WOW and Word Art samples.
6. Supplies needed:
-- two notebooks (Meditation Journal & Class Notes.
--"Art Box" (see above)
-- one binder (1 1/2" capacity with clearview pocket in front)
-- two (2) single subject (or composition) notebooks
-- pack of 3 x 5 unlined index cards
-- two (2) boxes of kleenex

Spelling:
Grade 5: thousand, prefer, pieces, soldier, adjusted
Grade 6: beautiful, through, poetry, enemy, judged
Grade 7: believe, doesn't, through, experiment, fierce

Vocabulary (WOW) :

Reading Logs: 15 minutes / 4 times this week
1. For August, students will be working on:
--Health: New Food Guide Pyramid
--P.E.: Tri-fit Testing/President Challenge Fitness Testing
2. All students are to bring PE clothes by Monday, August 15th, 2005.
