(1) Please be sure your students have their school supplies!
(2) Family Night/ Class Meeting: August 18, 2005 6:30pm-8pm (Third Thursday of Every Month!)
Please come join us at our first Family Night in the cafeteria (don't worry about a babysitter, bring your kids), and class meeting.
(3) 5th Grade BINGO in September. Send a note to pick, or you'll be assigned a job.
1. Help make sure Kindergarten kids get picked up / put on the bus. Talk with Ms. Coretta in Kindergarten. Come to school 5 minutes before dismissal, and stay for about 15-20 minutes.
2. Help in the classrooms. Send a note to Ms. Felicia, about your interest, and your name will be passed on to the team.
3. Big Brother/ Big Sister Play Time Supervision: On all school mass days, help supervise recess activities! Send your name to Ms. Felicia.
Check News boxes for specific class supplies. Many classes require an "Art Box" (plastic school box) which includes:
--one pair of scissors
--#2 pencils and erasers, pens
--one (1) box of colored pencils
--one (1) box of crayons
--one (1) box of washable markers
--one (1) bottle of glue (or glue stick)
--one (1) set of watercolors
--one (1) yellow highlighter
--one (1) ruler (inches and centimeters)

3. Don't forget to start your community service hours... 8th grade needs 40 hours if they're going to be confirmed! Don't forget to use FORM B to have permission to work after school (parent signature!)

-- two (2) 2 pocket folders
1. Students began their Music Journals. This week's topic: "What does music mean to me?"
2. Students were informed that they will be responsible for quarterly reports (all topics in any order) Composer, Musician, Band, Free Choice
3. Students participated in rhythm stick activities.
4. Supplies needed:
-- one 3-subject notebook for this class (Journal, Class Notes, Independent Work)
