We�ve started our
Quandary Projects.  Students received project guidelines on Monday and Tuesday of this week.  Students will be responsible for their presentations on their due dates.  Presentations will be scored on volume, organization/flow, content, and props.  Sign-up sheet is available at Ms. Felicia�s file cabinet.

Timeline for Quandary Projects:
By the end of today (2/8/06):  Students should have completed Part One and three sources for their research.  Students completed their word art for their quiz activity.
Before school Monday (2/13/06):  Students should have all of their research completed.
By Friday afternoon (2/17/06):  Students should have rough drafts for all of their write-ups completed.
By Tuesday afternoon (2/21/06):  Students should have completed their covers and final copies.
By Wednesday afternoon (2/22/06):  Students should have books ready to go!

Reading
homework can be any reading that is done independently, with family, and/or out loud (to a younger sibling, etc.) outside of regular school hours.  Be sure to include the START time and the END time, as this is how credit is given for reading logs.  Also, don�t forget to write sentences for your spelling words!

2.Quandary Project and Presentation:  Grades 5/6 on February 23rd and Grades 7/8 on February 24th.

1.Reading Log:  60 minutes (continue your own reading log include: date, start time, end time, title, author, start page, end page)

4.Index Card Reflections (NEW!) On seven index cards, write and draw about something that made you happy each day (Wed, Feb. 8th- Tues, Feb 14th). It can be something you were encouraged about at school, at home, or on the road!  At least one of your index cards should be a scripture (from Mass celebrations, or your own selection in the bible).
5.Spelling (10 times each, sentence for each word):  see lists below
6.WOW (word, part of speech, picture, definition, morphemes, sentence):  choose one word from your spelling list
