Program Plans

Sesame Street English School 　 I had been teaching at Sesame Street English School in Taiwan for 6 years. The teaching methods are based on -- Situational Language Teaching  First Language Learning Approach. No Chinese Total Physical Response Phonics Game-Activity Approach There are six levels (A~F). The materials include student books, workbooks, grammar books, tapes or CDs, Phonics books. Here is one of the lesson plans on Stage A, Student Book Page 38.

　

Garden Gate Elementary School, Room 7,   Mentoring teacher: Ms. Kimberly Lazo Daily Language Review (DLR)    Students review 4 items daily from 8:15 to 8:25 a.m. There are sentence editing, punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. Life Cycle     Students have mealworms to observe and report. They feed mealworms and watch them grow and change. My Poetry Book     Apples-Descriptive poem, Fall Couplet, Holiday poem-senses Poem, Giving Poem, Winter Poem, Acrostic Poem. Community Worker Report     Each student does a report on a worker in the community, answer three questions--3 things the community worker does, where to find them, what training they need to do the job. Then, present the report in any of the following ways: cube, poster, mobile, diorama, quilt, or oral report.
