The Family Arrives Dinner the Night Before Wedding Day The Luncheon The Aftermath

Have you ever taken 25 people to dinner? Mom did.
It was so nice of the bride-to-be to take us all to dinner
with so much on her mind. We went to the Golden Corral
buffet and ate as much as we possibly could.

This is where we finally saw the Robinsons who have
come from Roseville, CA. Mom welcomes Craig . . .

. . . as do Clint and Patty.

Linda wastes no time getting her hands on little Jane.
She wants her two married children to see that
THIS IS WHAT GRANDCHILDREN LOOK LIKE.

This is also where we first saw the Kurts.
Susan gives a warm welcome to Jennifer.
These are our bookend sisters, the first and the last.

Mom hugs her baby, Jennifer.
The Kurts have come from Canyon Country, CA.

There was a lot of hugging this weekend--
Linda and Jennifer Kurt here.

David and Peter Kurt.

The Kurt daughters, Katie (left) and Christine (right)
dine with their cousin Breanne.

Michael who adores babies and little children couldn't
get enough of baby Jane.

Sarah and Patty settle in to visit
(without the distraction of silver jewelry).

Left to right: Ron & Sarah Pimentel, Patty & Clint
(who's probably at the dessert bar) Kennington, David
& Karen Barker, and Linda and Craig Robinson.

Peter and Jennifer Kurt. Looks like the girlies have gone
back for seconds. Or was it thirds?

Susan and Blair Davis with Kathy Davis Bullock and baby Jane
at one end of the table (this is Jane's real mother) . . .

. . . the Feddocks at the other end.

Susan and Mom.
Mom looks very young in this picture.

Jake Kurt also sat at our table. This carrot is wearing a Lego helmet.
His brother, Nick, was unable to come on this trip being at scout camp.
We missed you, Mr. Nick!

Laurel got her hands on the baby a few times. Yummy!

After din-din the sisters all secretly brought their contributions
to the honeymoon treat basket to give to Mom shortly.
We assembled it in the back of Jen's Suburban.
Man, we're sneaky.

We didn't want the newlyweds to starve during
all the miles they'd be driving on their honeymoon
so here's a snack basket for them. It is complete with
Martinelli's apple juice, cookies, Screaming Yellow
Zonkers, peanut butter, crackers, plastic knives, soap
(I don't think they ate that), chocolates, gummy worms,
wedding cake-shaped candles, McDonald's gift card,
baby wipes, napkins, trash bag, etc.

Madrecita seemed to like it!
Was she ever not smiling this weekend?

I guess you could call this a bridal shower but she
only got two gifts; the basket and a bedspread set
she had been eyeing. They did say "no gifts" but
she knew we would ignore that.

Looking around the room we see all the spectators.
A first bridal shower for most of The Brotherhood, undoubtedly.

More spectators

What? Clint being goofy? Gee, we've never seen that before.

Besides hugs, there was a lot o'laughing on this trip.

Roger, our BYU man, and sister Andrea Pimentel , our
hot shot San Francisco designer arrive. These two raise
our group cool factor significantly.

Breanne pleasing the young 'uns by doing chalk drawings
with them on Grandma Redd's patio.

Son and father, Roger and Ron Pimentel catching up

Laurel and Michael looking happy to be alive.

Linda, Jennifer, and Karen. It's time to break up the party
and let the bride-to-be get some quiet shut eye.

I would say little Michael seemed to find the Tates' couch comfy. . .

. . . as did Breanne. She is sleeping with her new blue flames
blanket her cousin Christine and Aunt Jennifer made for her.
She loves it.
